Without necessarily disclosing anything that can be exploited, what is your own absolute worst habit when playing poker that you know is giving you trouble?

For me, it's the habit of being too eager for button-clicking (to call/fold/raise). I mean, I already thought the situation through during that space of 5 seconds, right? just click already. Nope, turns out, rushed decision. And the reason is that my hand is always on the mouse. Now I had to take my hand away from the mouse so that I give myself a few extra seconds to mull things over a bit more. Like DNegs once moaned to himself, "just take it slow, man..."

How about you?

I am on a table right now with someone who was playing quick just like you said (often pre-clicking even). I got a good read on him, he was table chip leader at the time and I managed to double up on him. Not really an answer too your question, but perfect timing to what you mentioned.

As for me, I think my bad habit is simply not folding when I am in too deep and still calling even when I think I have the low hand. I am better now than I was, but I get myself in too deep some times and can't back away.

I know that habit, it still happens to me from time to time. When I notice that my hand in on the mouse I try to pull it away and to take my time before deciding. This still happens to me after all these years... :)

a bad habit I have is a lot of tournaments and when they take a long time to finish, I end up getting a little tired and starting to decrease the quality of my game.

my bad habit is that when I'm winning an all in at more than 70% I don't need to use the wild card to secure what I've won and I almost always get a bad beat

Sometimes I try to play more tables than necessary. Sometimes playing 8-10 tables at the same time, I start making mistakes and thus simply lose money.

I think sometimes I lose my patience (specially after a couple of hours playing) and start to make bad decisions, like going all in thinking or I double up my stack or leave the tournament because I'm tired of playing.

Liking one pair or…even worse 2 pair too much. Often having 2 pair will lose you a lot of chips.

I start smoking more while playing. Unfortunately, I never got rid of this habit, and during the game the desire to smoke only grows. Perhaps this is the only bad habit that spoils my life.

Often times when luck is not with me at all for a while I tend to get carried away by the negative tide of frustration and often play more money than I can actually afford to play. Yes, I have this problem, to be honest with you.

I think it's one of the worst habits you can have because in addition to the nerves gathered and the money lost, for sure if you keep playing for money, you will play with a negative aura around you and you will definitely not be able to play at your maximum level.
