I smoke a cigarette and drink an energy drink lol

I don't have any ritual to grind yet. I just get my bottle of water and play

Good sleep and a bit of physical exercise are the best preparation before a game.

Normally a cup of coffee, some good music playlists or watch a series in the background (when I'm playing online) - the distraction helps with the games...

A large bottle of clean water and light snacks (nuts and fruit) should be on hand beforehand to avoid distractions during short five-minute breaks.Strong mental preparation is perhaps the most important aspect of long-term and successful play for any poker player.

For me, the best preparation is mentally tuning in for strict time management. I used to just jump into the game and play for hours, but my focus would drop closer to the late stage. Now, my main ritual before a session is making sure I have water ready and preparing to fully utilize that standard 5-minute hourly break. I strictly step away from the monitor, stretch, and give my eyes a rest. Even just 5 minutes of complete disconnect every hour helps keep my mind sharp during long grinds.

My ritual is simple - I take 5-10 minutes to relax, turn off distractions, get some water, and review my goals for the session. Helps me stay focused.

Good luck at the tables everyone!

The most important thing is to get a good night's sleep before the game and be in high Spirits!🕉️

Like me, there are many people who prepare before entering a poker tournament or a card game, even with chess and other mind games.

I smoke weed before playing, not always, but sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn't.
Make some coffee and pray that bad beats don't knock me out before the ITM.

I don't really have a special ritual before playing. I like to have a clear mind, something to drink, and be in a good mood. I think being focused is more important than any lucky routine. Sometimes I just want to get straight to the tables and see what happens lol.

It's good to do some (mild) exercise before playing. Even just a 5km bike ride or a 2km jog can do wonders for my anti-tilt resistance. That, and a good & healthy homecooked meal. Fresh vegetables, some protein & fat and some carbs. I also puff on a joint during playing, but that is not a part of my preparation per se.

for me i like it to be quiet in my house. doesn't always work out, but when it does, i seem to get better results.

I don’t really have any special rituals before playing. I just make sure I’m sitting comfortably and have everything I need within reach so I don’t have to get up before the break. My mobile phone, some snacks, and a drink nearby are usually enough. Sometimes I might crack open a beer and just relax before the game starts.

My pre-game ritual is pretty simple: get into the right mindset, review a few key concepts, and make sure I’m focused and not playing emotionally. I also set a bankroll limit and remind myself that I can make the right decision and still lose the hand. The goal is to play my A-game, not chase results. ♠️ What about you guys? Do you have any specific rituals before a session? 🎯

I don't really have a ritual, but I make sure to have things like drinks and other tasks already taken care of, so they don't take up my time or distract me while I'm playing.
