When do you call yourself a pro?

You don’t.

If someone else considers you a professional, I’d say that’s a much better way than declaring yourself one.

And no pro (a legit pro, not some random who plays 6 hours online a day, plenty of those amateurs around) is going to waste their time convincing others on a free roller forum that they are.

Just because you make $12 a day on dollar MTT’s or $.01/$.02.....that alone won’t cut it

I think that a professional person is a very small number. Error-free calculated actions of which give the possibility of excellent high stable income

In the online game you have nothing to improve, because the anything depends on random, here you have to be patient as much as you can more.

I think it's hard to say, but I think that's what your winnings and everything you find earned through this sport will tell you and if you really just live off it

I think it's already the one who makes a living from it stably and quite well. And winning some of the more prestigious poker tournaments is enough for me.

No

I don't even think about it now. I'm evolving every day and that's what matters at the moment

I don't think there is a clear answer on this. My normal response would be "Well if you make 100% of your living from poker, then you are a professional". I don't think that is true since people like Fedor and Polk probably make more from the courses they sell then playing. I would still call them professionals.

TLDR: No clear answer on what makes you a pro.

I think you should realize this for yourself, but only after analyzing your games for example for a month or a longer period, or after 1,000,000 hands played.

How I see, the mainstream consider it, if you are owned by a poker site, I mean you are an official face of them.

However, most of the pros are unknown.

Anyway if it is simple if you are able to reach a steady income, live off by poker with less than 40 hours play/week, probably you are something like that.

Personally, never could consider myself as pro, in any meaning, as even i know where i am profitable, the bankroll management, tilt handling, when is the time to leave the game for a while, at least for the given day, is still not working, even if it would, the pro means something more for me. Anyway, without the live CG or tourney profitable part, hard to name anybody as pro.

The real pros who I consider as pros, rarely play online - at least before covid -, most of them high stakes world traveller CG, high stakes live tourney players, whose play much rarely than an average player. Oh and most of them, the poker is not the main activity.
