I used invest way too much time into Poker, started gaining weight and fell into a bit of a funk. I become deeply involved in poker and started making a living from it when I got laid off from my job. It consumed all of me.Then I got the precious gift of my child, he is my saving Grace. I QUIT cold turkey That being said, I was never a “Pro” not even close. I was just a winning poker addict lol. Now I’m strictly a recreational player who more often cashes than doesn’t. I enjoy playing poker and will take breaks from it when it becomes no longer enjoyable for me. Being a Professional Poker player comes with having credentials, winning at least one prestigious event, (does not have to be a ME, can be sub events). Have consistent success in events and consistently cashing, while still being in the green at the end of the year. It’s doing not much else but playing poker for endless hours/days. Continuously studying the game, your opponents game and your game. It’s a job and it’s a lot of work. Most of us here will never become Pro’s but we will always share our love for the game.
