When do you consider yourself pro?

Pro means , profession . Like is ure main job . Being a pro poker player means you make a living from poker , you win constant income . That's my opinion,you are a pro poker when u succed to make a living by only playing poker , like a job.
 
I'm going to consider myself a professional when I have a bankroll of $ 500 now I'm almost nothing hehe 😀, but I like to play poker a lot😀
 
I´m amateur.
I consider a player to be a professional when they manage to live off what they earn playing poker.
 
for me that means you are owned by a "horde", so never, even if i manage to live off from poker....
 
When do you consider yourself a pro

You consider your self a pro when poker becomes your job and you provide yourself everything you need through playing poker.
 
First of all, a pro is not necessarily a professional and vice-versa. Debi gave an explanation above.
So you can only consider yourself a professional player if you have no job other than playing poker. A pro is a skillful player who doesn't play poker for a living. At least that's how I understand it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
 
I would not say i am really pro in poker, but it is the only income for me. Never had any work.

I never consider myself a pro. My whole game consists of downstrikes and upstreaks. When I win, I’m just glad that I’m lucky. No more, no less.
 
When you have no other job that supports your poker and you are able to make a living at only playing poker.
 
Poker Pro

When you start to earn money from poker and that is your #1 income.
 
I'm just an amateur and feel good, playing poker for leisure. In my opinion, only those who have all their income from poker can be considered professionals.
 
I will consider myself a pro when I play like one, or bet a pro, because pokers tricky.
 
If one day I start taking my income from Poker, then I will consider myself a professional.​
 
i think once your in for 100 000 hands and invested alot of thousands of dollars lol
..
but everyone considers themselves a pro if they been playing freerolls for 2 years lol

While there are many successful people at lower limits until your comfortable at these games and bigger I think a player will still have a lot to learn.🙂

when you can only keep up with poker money and keep a cashier with a good percentage and always active
 
When I quit my job and took my girlfriend to the Caribbean with poker money.
 
I think I'm an average amateur player, I probably need a decent bankroll to be a pro
 
When my patience and discipline reach the intended level while being able to maintain a bankroll in excess of 500,000.00 USD and poker becoming the main earner.
 
I would consider myself a professional when I have an economic balance and stability in poker, meaning that my winnings far exceed my losses, with 70% vs 30% I would be super happy, it is a nice dream that could come true.

a professional should read the game and also put down a good card when he knows of a loss
 
I used invest way too much time into Poker, started gaining weight and fell into a bit of a funk. I become deeply involved in poker and started making a living from it when I got laid off from my job. It consumed all of me.Then I got the precious gift of my child, he is my saving Grace. I QUIT cold turkey That being said, I was never a “Pro” not even close. I was just a winning poker addict lol. Now I’m strictly a recreational player who more often cashes than doesn’t. I enjoy playing poker and will take breaks from it when it becomes no longer enjoyable for me. Being a Professional Poker player comes with having credentials, winning at least one prestigious event, (does not have to be a ME, can be sub events). Have consistent success in events and consistently cashing, while still being in the green at the end of the year. It’s doing not much else but playing poker for endless hours/days. Continuously studying the game, your opponents game and your game. It’s a job and it’s a lot of work. Most of us here will never become Pro’s but we will always share our love for the game.
