In 2014 I wanted to learn Poker out of curiosity. That took me about 10 minutes. Later that day I played a pirated version of Governor of Poker 2, and one year after that I made my first cash deposit on PS.

I started round about 2004 on PS….it was the online boom that leaded me to poker I guess….I was just interested in the game….and cause of the online offers it was possible to play it at home for small money….. and apart from two breaks of about six months, I'm still loyal to the game to this day

I started with friends to just get rid of jars of change. I mentioned in another post the same. When counting it all out became too hard we moved to chips.

I was, until the last movie*, a huge fan of Bond franchise, since when I saw baccarat at one of the movies (Dr. no, to be exact), so I kept this association in my mind, Casino and Cards, but 15 years ago I watched Casino Royale and Watched Bond (Graig) winning an Aston Martin at a Cash Game, then I started to play.

* I did not watched the last movie, lack of opportunity, however I´ll watch.

At the age of 14 I saw a poker tournament on TV, and I wanted to learn how to play, I read the rules and downloaded the game to my phone, played probably a couple of months and forgot about this game! Just a year ago, my wife's younger brother was just playing poker on the phone and I also wanted to remember, then I downloaded the application on my phone and started playing, but then I found out about freerolls and that you can win real money in them without spending your money! I started playing freerolls and now I have built my bankroll with $0 and I love it, poker has become my hobby for me, I just enjoy the game, and I wish you the same! Good luck at the tables!

There's only one possible direction for you: upwards! That's enviable.

I started many years ago. That was a big mistake for sure. Was hoping for a better life and easy money. You know, when you watching this tv poker shows, and everything is so beautiful and easy, and when you start to playing yourself you understand, that poker is not an easy game. Lots of people can play very well. The level of the game grows day after day. The level of my disappointment in online poker also grows every day. I believe lots of people started in hopes for a big win and a life-changing money, but i believe many of them also have the same feelings, the same frustration as i have.

This brings back memories :)
I've played card games since I can remember and it was a great activity we did in my family to relax, talk and bring us together... About poker, I've started playing live at a local club soon after turning 18 and like other people, I've moved online 10+ years ago because it was 'easier' to play more...
About the reason: I just like poker and I enjoy studying to improve my game- it's a bit like a hobby that can give some extra money $$$

Also these people posting years this century, learning to play poker. LOL
My parents taught me to play poker and many other card games when I was a teenager.
So that would be between 1977 and 1985 people. Most of you probably weren't born!

I was a regular casino gambler. On a trip to Vegas in 2000, a friend of mine who lived there taught me the game, and I loved it. Especially at that time, you came across all the players who became a visible part of the game. I remember the first thing he said about the game. It is like lif,e easy to learn but very hard to master.

My Dad's side of the family loved gambling--poker, the horse races, football, etc.. Every Friday night they had friendly poker games at the house. I wanted to play, ofcourse, so my Dad taught me how to play when I was ten years old. Haha, not only did I learn how to kick booty on the poker table, I learned a few new really cool bad, bad words (mostly from my Great Aunt Pat LOL). My grandmother would laugh her ass off. I would share them with ya'll, but I don't want to be banned :icon_flow. Good memories. Oh, and one more thing: I started playing online a couple of years ago on wsop. I learned really fast how much I sucked. Yep, got schooled pretty good on WSOP. Still learning...

I'm impressed that it only took you a year to become a legend. Are you a genius? :)

A few friends from talked about school but I was not very interested at first. But then I saw poker on TV and I was immediately hooked. This was in 2006. Then I learned more about the rules and strategy and I played a lot with my friends and online.
