Online I don't usually like playing with friends. It causes too much drama even though you agree ahead of time the "rules"...but if they happen to sit down at my table online, I will try to take them out regardless. I am not going to be be suckered by my own friend.

I sat at the same table as my gf a few weeks back, it was a terrible idea. She was always acting before me, and limped wayyy too much, hands I'd normally have raised with I just limped because she was in the pot...

I played on the same table with a friend one night on Pogo. I admit it.. I went easy on him (I felt bad and didn't want to jeopardize his chances for stacking up some tokens.... especially after I'd logged onto his account the day before and changed his avatar, adding 40lbs. to it and making him resemble a "Bubbles" look-a-like (.. 'Bubbles' from TrailerParkBoys). I figured I owed him that much.

Umm... something I've never mentioned to 'Poker Orifice' before. "Hey Poker Orifice. You remember that "Live SNG" you won at the BCPC Championships (the one with Dennis Phillips, Brad Booth, Gavin Smith, Tiffany Michelle, Maria Ho, & Bryan Devonshire... and 'me').... well... um... you really didn't win it. When we were headsup... I kinda folded the nuts that time when you shoved the turn >> I felt bad for you and knew we'd have alot longer drive on the way home had I called & won. Besides... I got to spend your winnings anyways.

Yes I would have to agree with the other members on this one. It does feel worse when you are at a casino with a friend, because you both went there together with the hopes of walking away with some extra cash in your pockets. But when you are the one that has taken all of his/her money, it leaves you with an almost bad feeling after.

my two friends had it at cash tournament and one of them knock out the ather to , we talked about it and figured that the one friend who called the raise after the cards came out is the one who blame in this wired situation.

What a wimp! Come on! I would be smart enough to know that if I am sitting at a table with one of my friends live/online that I am not going to bet them out of the pot without a solid hand. BOO HOO. Sounds like a crappy friend. Win fair and square and then say "Nice Frickin' hand, dude". No whining.

With me, it depends on the friend and the stakes. Generally, they know that if they're up against me they'd better be careful...so all's usually fair. However, depending on the friend/etc, I will try to at least leave them gas $.

I played a Pechanga tourny once, and ran into a friend there. By pure luck, we wound up sitting next to each other at the same table. We were joking around about who'd be the first to leave. We wound up all-in on the very first hand, and I knocked him out. We both thought it was pretty funny.

I would have to say that there is the possibility that there are some hustlers out there. I won't mention anywhere in particular but my father-in-law plays in Tahoe on occasion and has seen some hustlers. Cash game...I would say that should be taboo but like someone else said... the casinos know who there regulars are. So, if you have that kind of info. Two players who know eachother, maybe you should find a different table.

Yep. And I probably should've qualified that...usually when I see this it's at a "friendly" 3/6, 4/8 game. If you see dude check down AA in a 20/40 game, it's time to move...or call the floor.

there no such thing as friends at the table, you re there to win, its the same as any other sport, before the game youre mates laughing and joking , at the table you want to demolish the opposition, exactly the same as playing on opposite sides in a soccer, rugby hockey, or boxing match, afterwards its gamer over, shake hands and get on with life

I play with friends all the time, but it's friendly, and we love to take each others money, my employee and I play almost daily when it's slow, it goes back and forth, we share strategy and it makes both of us better players in the end. To play with others and play differently with your friend would be collusion and would get you booted from most online sites and casinos permanently along with your assets frozen for online, So your friend is obviously just a tourist who thought you would hand him money, keep him for watching the game and having a beer, but leave him home next time u hit the table.

Dont play with friends

Playing with friends is the worst thing you can do. In the end it would only hinder your play because you either feel guilty and play soft or have to listen to them bitch about you taking their money. After its all said and done they would probably ask for it back, when you leave the casino. The only way you should play with friends is if its low stakes home games.

yeah but when you drive to a casino with a friend and are staying in the same room and have been best friends your whole life its just not right .. if you wind up at the same table you try and stay out of pots with them unless you have a monster its just the right thing to do..believe me ive been in the position knocking my friend out and then having to spend the weekend with him in the same hotel room and had a long drive home together lol

If a friend bitches about money that much is he really a good friend? Friendship is stronger then money, well it is in my book anyways......
