My family is very understanding about my hobby and I have never had any conflicts over playing poker. But for me, my family always comes first, so I pay attention to my family members first and play only when I have free time.

My Poker sessions On-line or Live games have never interfered with my Family Life, In fact I have Registered for some freerolls and had to walk out and leave before the game started, for some Family Emergency, and come back hours later to Find I had actually made the Money in some just by sitting out.

I almost never play live poker, but there have been situations where I wanted to play a tournament but couldn't participate because I had a family commitment.

No, my family doesn't understand that poker is not a game of chance. For my family, poker is the same as a casino. So once I tried to explain that I like to play poker and I am a plus player, but I was not understood. That's why I keep all my poker successes from my family. If you have a problem with your family because of poker, it's time to teach your family how to play poker and they will begin to understand and support you. Never had any big problems with my family because of poker. But if you're having problems, maybe it's a good idea to sit with them and explain how much poker is important to you.

I'm over 50, and I'm actually just living my life. My parents died a long time ago. I have a brother and a sister, but they never get involved in my personal affairs. Therefore, I have never had any problems due to playing poker.

I have no problems with my family because of my poker game. I play when I have free time, and it is my exclusive right how I will use this free time. If someone from my family needs my help, I am always ready to help, family is a bigger priority for me than playing poker.

Almost the whole family knows that I play and everyone is fine, especially when they see the results of the time spent. I just need to explain what kind of game poker is, for me it is similar to chess, for many it looks like slots or a casino, but that’s not the case.

My mom and dad have aways been supportive. My wife back when we started dating and I told her had her concerns which of course I expected. However after sitting her down and showing her I have been a winning player for 10+ years(before meeting her) eased those easily enough. Since then she has been very supportive and even encouraging me to play more over the years. I'm also good at making time for family and life outside/away from poker. So no issues here.
