The obvious prediction: Someone who you've never heard of, who will then become the newest poker celebrity.

Agreed, most likely someone who has had decent online success but never made a big splash news wise.

Chances a pro may win the ME is probably less than 10 percent. Phil Ivey coulda taken it last year, ignoring the cards he even admitted to playing too passive. It was really weird play from him because we usually see him playing fearlessly at the table... maybe he wanted to change up his game to confuse the other players? Kinda late to guess but he missed his chance...

I'm betting on a non-USA player to take it, just a feeling. If I had to pick a pro I would want to win it would be Daniel Negreanu, if Phil Hellmuth won we'd never hear the end of it.

I predict his last name will be either 'Moneymagnet','Cashguy', 'Richman', 'Lotsamoolah', 'Bigbucks', or something similar to that. :D

moneymaker for a 2nd time and making his goal to win at least once per decade (thus creating a continuous poker boom)

One thing is certain, Terence Chan does not need luck to win the ME.

It's likely to be some unknown player. Sorel Mizzi has been playing great all year maybe he can take it down.

Almost certainly a nobody, who will be greeted with cries of "what a donkey", "my grandma plays better than him/her", "ship me $10K and I'd so have played better" and other similar lamentations from the internet peanut galleries.
