In Kiev, was closed all the places where the game was practiced in poker. You do not know how to respect the laws of our country? show at least one legitimate place where people come to play for cash or tournaments with prize money?

Is this casino in the northeast i find that story hits home and its a problem but its my home court so i thats were i grind plenty of fish swimming thru

No, it is not in the northeast, but I'm not surprised to hear this is a problem elsewhere.

Small stakes live games are hard to beat for a significant sum consistently (with the rake). This tends to lend itself to sourness and people looking to gain an edge on everyone else by any means possible.

Not the norm from what I hear but not surprising either.

I played live 1/2 NL Holdem game for about 5 years. It's a grind. Same boring place on a beautiful summers day. Same dull bunch of losers, lugging their crap behind them.

The really heavy part of playing live is just how slow the game can be. Whoever overcomes their boredom the best, wins. To sit for hours waiting for a perfect situation takes serious patience and discipline.

Also there is normally a much limited selected of tables and games. Its not like online , where you can jump in and out as you like,

In Ukraine poker is banned, but we have clubs all over the country as well as casinos.
I play few times a month because illigal clubs sometimes being closed. Once I've been at table when police came...one of the worth nights I've had.

I play live whenever I can. Lake Charles, LA is only a few hours away, and I'm in a few local games. I also find a way to play when I travel. I'll be in San Francisco for about three weeks this month, and plan to play daily at the poker rooms there.

I play every 2-3 months in Niagara Falls, NY. Usually see the same local crowd. It is competitive, but usually friendly. I play $1-2 NLHE. I take $200 bankroll; if I lose, so what; it's less than my wife spends shopping at the Factory Outlet mall.

I do not have a casino or poker club in the city, casinos are forbidden to play and poker tournaments are held only in another city, I only have to play online and I want to play live poker

I play live regularly, it helps that I live 7 minutes away from my local Poker room.
I play online when I am just relaxing at home and dont feel like going there and sitting for 12 hours.

I think most of the people here play just online. It,s easier to play online poker right now, then to travel somewhere to play live. Also poker is out of law in lots of countries, so, most of the people prefer to play online.
