I think poker changes quickly, and many players who were stars in one era can become less talked about when new generations of players and new formats appear. It would be interesting to hear which forgotten poker legends other players remember.

While he's still involved in the poker world, he isn't in the spotlight as often as he once was. It shows how quickly the poker landscape changes, with new stars constantly emerging.
Chris certainly hasn't dropped his involvement in the live poker world, he has 5 Hendon cashes in 2026 and 14 in 2025 with 3 of them being 1st place finishes. He's also active on X with his ACR sponsorship and frequently replies to X posts.khushalprem said:

Honestly, I believe poker has changed so much that nowadays many of the previous stars are not in the spotlights anymore. I also remember watching Jen Harman, and I wonder what happened to Chris Ferguson, he was a big name during the poker boom, and nowadays, I rarely hear about him. It shows how much the poker world turns!

TV coverage changed, and many moved toward private cash games or simply stepped away from the spotlight.
