We play poker because we are connected with each other with the vibrations and share our experiences here,so we are addicted to poker and to cardschat.

I've started playing poker(and some other card games too), only for the social aspect - so no money was involved, just fun <3 :) , still after seeing that I somehow ended up winning most of the games, my guess was that I had a bit of natural talent for poker(not many learning tools were available at that time, so improving your game was possible mostly by playing...), I've tried some poker clubs and I had pretty good success and like many other members that posted above - I've switched to play online too, not just for the love for the game but to make some extra money too 💵 💰; not too long after I've started playing online I've found the CC community(some other poker sites too) and using the study tools available - I've slowly learned to approach poker the right way and this not only helped me to become a better poker player, but also to keep my love/interest for the game even after 15+ years👍 😎

I guess I do activities that I can do a thousand times and not go broke. I noticed that as a child you gotta have fun with no money available and those times can be our funnest days.

So if I went bowling a thousand times, or played golf a thousand times how much money am I out. I would have spent a pretty penny. So I go play tennis or I go kick a football through a goal post, or a soccer ball or ping pong table instead. Cardschat offers freerolls, so it costs nothing to start, then to show my appreciation I might put $100 on a new poker site that Cardschat is a part of, with my winnings, of course.

For a player, poker is a multifaceted pursuit, where the balance between profit and enjoyment determines long-term success and satisfaction. Professionals like Daniel Negreanu say, "Poker teaches life lessons—patience, emotional control, and the acceptance of failure."

I play for money and for fun. In my opinion, poker is a game that can be beneficial in many ways if you play it in a disciplined manner.

I started out of curiosity, nowadays I think I play more for fun, but it's better if I win.

I started playing because of my wife's encouragement, then I started studying and saw a good opportunity to earn money, and the challenge also motivates me to keep improving.

I think most people start playing poker with the hope of winning a big prize in a tournament. However, along the way, many of us end up falling in love with the game itself.

Even when I play very low buy-in tournaments or freerolls, as the tournament progresses and stacks get shorter, the emotions become intense. Being close to the top spots, every decision feels important, and that mix of nerves and excitement is what makes poker such a rewarding game to play.

It's a great way to pass the time, developing logic, memory, and stress resistance, but for many it remains a gambling hobby.

We play poker because it’s more than cards.
It’s the challenge of outthinking another human, the discipline to stay calm under pressure, and the thrill of making the right decision when it matters most. It teaches patience, humility, and self-control while rewarding courage and creativity.
We don’t play just to win money.
We play to test ourselves.
