I fell in love with it.

When i was a young man exactly 21 and i saw the holdem table and was instantly like whoa. I played with my family as a child, we had them poker nights with pennies real home game style. So when i saw the tables as an adult i had to play. First two night playing i won The bad beat jackpot table split and the second night i had 2222 and a trucker hit runner runner Quad 10's giving me the BBJP high end for 5 Thousand dollars. That Got me dating the game. I fell in love with it in Albuquerque NM at Sandia Resort and Casino. I learned that as just a kid from the Rez Ghettos i could take PHD, Master degrees, and Everything after just with having a great sense of Empathy. I won lots of money with just my reads and a knowledge of the top ten hands from Phil Hellmuth hahaha!!!! Then Players got better and i adapted and learned everything there is to know. And I fell in love with it because it gave me Confidence when i didnt have much and Money when i had none. It saved me from Alcoholism and Depression. Poker isnt just gambling its Way of life and Great bringer of many types of ppl who would never sit near one another other wise.

I really enjoy doing it and I try to make money with freerolls. I use that money to bet on football matches.

Jason Su asks this question as part of a warm up routine prior to starting a session. The main answer I have come up with is because playing the game consistently well is the hardest activity I am willing to do. Gaining all the skills it takes to do this well is really hard. The physical and mental conditioning constant in order to perform at my best. It challenges me to maintain my body and mind. Of course the money is also a reason to play. Got bills to pay and a lifestyle to support. Poker doesn't really feel like work and I do love competing. Making money while not feeling like its work is a great way to live.

I play poker because it is stressful, It is more of a hobby than something to be taken seriously, You also meet interesting people at live poker tables, Online is a little different but it is still good, it does not lose the essence, If you take the game seriously and want To become a professional you will have to dedicate full time to it and study all the variants that may be in the game, you will invest a lot and you will recover it much later but if you are a person who accepts defeats, you can go very far but that takes time and money.

For the simple joy and pass of time , sometimes tourneys drag on for longer then I’d like but overall it’s fun for me to play . Plus I’d really love to play in a huge payout tournament but first I need to build my bankroll up .

I play poker for fun and hobby. But, of course, we think about the possible profits that we can acquire if we play properly and without exaggeration. And I believe it depends a lot on your goal, some play professionally and others just as a hobby or amateur.

I play for several reasons. One to supplement my income. I don't win much per month. But being my only source of income is from Social Security in doesn't take much to help. Another is to help pass the time. Also I drag raced for over 50 years, so I play for the competition also.
