But the truth is I really love the game and you have the possibility to play for live changing money even with small starting money.

I have always played all types of card games growing up, as well as board games. Makes sense that if I can make a little spare money while playing a challenging game, I like to do it.
I still play different types of games, whether it is just scrabble, or cribbage playing against the computer.

I play poker for several reasons. Number one, it is addictive. I love to play, whether it is a 10 cent tournament or a 300 dollar tournament, which I have played both this year lol. I also play to hopefully win money, and the lure of taking down a significant tournament keeps me going, but mainly these days, I just love to play, and do not have any plans on going professional anytime soon.

Iplay pokeer because it is a sport that I can compeate in even though I am not in good shape to compete in other sports. I am a boomer so most sports are to demanding for my body.

I play for the love of the Game, The money I win always takes 2nd place in my mind, I have on some occasions made a deal when down to the last two or three players, but I would never Instigate a deal, It has to come from my opponents as I really do not care about the money, Playing and Winning is more important.
I think this comes from Playing league Poker as Winning the Points and finishing top of the League was far more important to me than Winning the money each week. I suppose looking towards the future games and what could come from them was more in my mind, and that is why I sometimes play Satellite games to try and Win tickets for future games.
As far as I was concerned the £5 Buy-in each week was like the entrance fee to see a film at the Cinema, It was a nights entertainment for a small fee, and of course if you won you got your money back plus a little bit more.
Poker to me is just that, Fun and Entertainment!
