Is there some law I don’t know about? I’m having a very bad time with trips. When I flip trips one of these things always happens. If I bet usually everyone folds
and I make the min. If I bet and someone stays no matter how much or little I bet after the River I’m losing to a flush or straight. It doesn’t matter my stack size chip position or point in the tournament, they have been killing me for the last week to the point I want to fold when I see them.

Pocket of bad variance pal, nothing more.

It doesn't pay to think in such ways as "I always lose with trips, no matter what"....

Probability is a chaotic animal, focusing on perceived quirks will just drive you cuckoo.

Concentrate on making the best decisions under the circumstances of any given street and getting your chips in good.

Do that successfully for long enough and things will fall into place.

Failing that, I can thoroughly recommend flopping quads instead of trips. Would flop quads again. 10/10. :)

This can happens not only with you with but almost everyone.

I have learn in the past weeks about making "reading of the hands and the game"/

Usually in the past games I have trusted my intuition and almost every time works.

Example: Last night I was playing a hand where I have 10/10 and my villian have 10/Jacks with same "Nipe" ( I dont know how write in english) and the flop turn into 10/K/Q

So I have a triple of 10 but the flop turn into on same"nipe" equals with is bad for me since I believe my villian will have a flush so usually in this scenario I just fold and wait for the next hand.

Usually your best bet is learn how to read the villians and predict and play with their hands.

the bad beats is part of the game. there is no solution for that. there are tournaments where if you win two hands you can reach the final table. and just be patient. and the only way to deal with it.

This is your subjective assessment. This cannot happen all the time. Or you just don't take your victories into account and take them for granted. Or you simply do not have enough patience.

From what he says, he appears to be a tigth player, a style of play that makes opponents stand back and play with value-only hands.

It may be that you are not analyzing the opponent's range possibilities, that is, playing just looking at your cards.

Perhaps, if you reanalyze your tournaments, you will see something similar.

If you run away from it, just variance.

Given further thought, it's worth mentioning (and from personal experience) trips can be a vulnerable holding..

Until/unless you boat up on later streets you should factor in the possibility of your opponents of either already having or making a better hand.

Tricky one to detect sometimes, elusive... A little like the threat of the set!

While it is rare you'll be beat, it does happen!

Why ? That's poker.

I think what many newer players don't realize is half the game is the cards, the other half is the players. If you're only playing the cards you're missing half the game.

We always remember the times we lose with a hand. Do we remember how many times have we won with hand though?

The problem you describe only says that you are not working on your game.

Which side are you playing on? Pokerstars with it´s insane James Bond hands? The other day someone said: "I hate trippers." Recently I lose hands like AK vs AJ (his Ace high flush vs my King high flush) --- KK vs A2 and A8 in a treeway and it's always the end of the road. With the tripper I usually run into a full boat and it´s game over. :)

Are we talking about trips or flopping a set? A set is when you have a pocket pair and hit the third card. While trips are when you have one card in your hand and flop two of that card on the flop. Now your other card is your kicker for trips. So are we talking about a set or trips here?

Don't take it personally, there will always be moving, this is poker! No one is immune from moving with the best hand, if you are a beginner, then get used to it, because such situations will happen often, and if you have been playing for a long time, you should understand that poker is not only skill, but also luck! Make the right decisions and you will be profitable at a distance! Work on discipline and patience, these are the most important skills! Good luck at the tables and patience for you!

After such bad beats, you want to leave poker forever, especially when this always happens in any tournament.

Take a look at the cards at the table, if there is any chance of flush or straight draw, go slow. And if there is nothing, don't bet to much, or everybody folds.

Just take a break. I think it will help you regain your self-confidence. If you are patient enough, you will be able to get a good result in the long run.

It’s just the variance. You shouldn’t be upset about the things you can’t change and instead focus on the things you can improve. The mental game can be challenging. Poker is a tough game.

I think the problem is your betting range is polarized, but in such a situation your villain's range is also polarized, so your oppenent has an easy decision to make, either fold with a weak hand or call with a big hand.

This may be a regular variance or you are not playing aggressively enough and give your opponent an opportunity to collect the combination they need !!! There are many options, therefore it is impossible to give the correct answer without seeing the scenario of several draws !!!

This inevitably happens to everyone. The main thing is patience. It is the patient players who win.

When you flop trips and bet, your opponents are:
1. Folding because they don't have a hand that can improve.
2. Calling because they have a hand that can improve.
3. Calling because they have a made hand that they think is strong enough to keep going.

With flopped trips, options 2 and 3 usually mean that they flopped trips or a set, or are drawing for stronger holdings. Depending on your bet size, you might get some overpairs to come along too. But by the river trips very seldom stand up at showdown. Similar but to a lesser extent, flopped straights also suffer from this.

Flopped draws generally do worse than draws that complete on the turn and river, pre-flop all-in situations excluded.

Sounds like you might be having a run of bad luck. You do know trips are open for everyone to see, right? Sets are hidden. I sometimes slow play trips on the flop if I don't see anything menacing like possible straight or flush draws. Checking after the flop and sometimes even after the turn alleviates a lot of players initial fears. Just tonight I checked trips on the flop, was first in turn. Everyone else checked and I checked on the turn. Another player went all in on the turn with two pair and I took him out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
