I only play online, so I really do not care who my opponents are. But no doubt, my play is influenced only by my patience and my discipline.

Women in poker:
I play poker and my wife would play slots, slots became a total scam as the money would be gone in 20minutes instead of a small loss over hours. She started playing poker at one of the local home games because old work mates went to the same game. Now we both play in tournaments or cash, we try to stay off of the same table. A local casino has a monthly women’s tournament, I play cash during this time. One of the guys at cash was mouth off about the women’s tournament, saying he was going to sign up, and cause crap. Everyone laughed, as he got up. I said there’s one problem, everyone looked at me funny, I said, my wife is playing in the tournament, if you piss her off, I will hear it for the 1.5 hour drive home. So after you piss her off, I’ll be pissed knowing what’s going to happen. Your going to go out for or a piss, and I would have to follow you to make sure you don’t drown. We all laughed and laughed, he sat back down.

I dont think so, specially in online tables. They have entire potential to become a good player, as long as they have enough time to practice and improve.

Seriously, It is only a distraction if you are not used to playing with women.
Most of us in live games are used to it,I do prefer it over the old regulars, like grumpy old bluffers that get mad at every move you make.
At first i thought maybe this one old grump was doing it to tilt me but i observed after awhile that it was his way of talking to everyone.
most women are less caustic.
