So I went down to Seminole coconut creek today to play in the first of 3 tournaments I planned to play, which is 2A. Opps...only 4 starting flights not the regular 6, so ended up playing in tournament 1.

Well, the Poker Gods are quite furious with me it seems... 5 times, yes 5 times my opponents in the hand in question had 4 outs and 5 times they hit. 2 or 3 of those times I flopped a straight.

Whatever I did O' Poker Gods I lament the day I did it and beg of your forgiveness. Admonish me in ways of your choosing but please lift the card boycott and let them once again flow to the river in my favor.

GiGiCat:)

Good luck to you! I want to ask you where in that venue are they holding the tournament? Is it in the poker room or a different part of the casino? I played a tournament there and cash on 2 occasions and the poker room was wedged between a billion slot machines and a diner. The sounds of the machines and especially the clanking of pots, pans, and plates drove me up a wall. Also, people were allowed to smoke in the slots area and that was a turn off as the poker space was wide open and you could smell the smoke. I smoke myself, but never indoors. Anyhow, hope you run well and play well! Maybe I'll swing by there this weekend to see if anything has changed. Good luck to you!

They still have the smoking allowed but not in the texas hold'em area as you stated. I also don't like this as I quit about 9 years ago and it does stink.
However the tournaments are held in a large room where smoking is not permitted and does not sell of smoke, and I didn't notice the slot machines but I am able to block that kind of stuff out.

I will be posting during the game tomorrow so come and see me.

I save $5, $10 to $20 a paycheck just to play, it adds up quick, I save like that for a 6 to 12 month period and I get to play. The rest of the time I play in online freerolls, Read poker books and use my trainer Apps.

Check me out on Hendon Mob, just type in "Raymond Claus Poker" and click the top link. Played in 14 now and placed in 3. That's 21% placement so far. Looking to up that.
