wsop final table

Hello there from New Zealand..looks like my cardchat freerolls are numbered due to the requirement changes it's very hard to get my sister of the computer long enough to write the threads and play.Anyway my Question is why is the final table of the wsop played months after the tourny is finished wouldn't this allow the lower stacks a chance to improve there game and the big stack to possibly lose there's. Surely the big stack would rather finish the same week as the cards and luck seem to be flowing for him..anyway cheers mushynz

They changed the rules because they were losing ratings on TV, and they hope that now there will be more buildup, plus when airing episodes on TV, they will be able to show the action of the final table right after the episodes leading up to it, so no one knows who wins before hand.

Here online, we would always know who won the tournament so there wasn't too much point in watching the show.
