I'm sure you have heard of "liquid courage". In
online poker you have "internet courage". On the internet people feel free to type whatever vindictive vitriol that instantly comes to their mind. Usually when a person gets pissed they instantly think of hurtful stupid things to say, but their conscience prevents them from doing it. When drinking or playing internet poker their will/conscience to NOT do/say something hurtful is evaporated. I would offer the suggestion of letting them spew & if it gets truly offensive/outrageous report it to support with table number/hand number. Don't reply to the stupidity, because as Forrest Gump said "stupid is as stupid does".

When offensive things are said which unfortunately seems to be more & more common, I simply reply "Congrats". If that doesn't seem to shut them up or if they continue on their rant I say "Congrats on your rudeness". I then take down the hand number & wait for them to spout more vitriol & then I report their incivility.

It is a microcosm of what is happening in the world. People are getting more & more rude & expecting/demanding that they get less & less punishment for their actions.

When I first started playing about 7-8 years ago when someone sucked out big time on me I sarcastically/facetiously say nice catch. I was new to the game & didn't know the proper etiquette. Eight years later I know I surely don't say nice hand when they suck out on me, but I have tremendously restricted/abolished my facetiousness. I actually ask GOD to give me the strength to be nice to people, because I know it's my greatest weakness at the table. Even though I still sometimes fume over a suckout I now keep my mouth shut due to maturity/experience/civility.

Just to let you know, which I'm sure you already do, but some players have the perception that if a player NEVER says a thing then that player is a BOT.

Playing on line players lose respect for others because they don't see or know the other player. Over the years my game is mostly on line. If you know me I have Multiple Sclerosis and I'm in a wheelchair. I has never changed my game, a player will say thing about another player not knowing them. If you play a lot they attack family. I think I am going to incorporate your mantra of "Win with honor & lose with respect" into my
poker game. The more and more I think about it, the more and more I realize I absolutely am enthralled with that saying. It is succinct & extraordinarily simplistic, yet very profound at the next level. I sincerely say thank you & will ubiquitously employ that into my thought process before I enter a casino or sit down online.
I believe that people have "internet courage" where they feel that their ineptitude towards fellow players won't/can't have consequences. They feel they can say whatever they want & not be held responsible for their actions.

Well when you lose for a donk player it´s hard to fight the need to react and say what´s in your mind but poker is social game that requires some moderation but most of the whinning is people who still don´t get the game and blame everybody else for their mistakes

Good point. I also think that since you are playing online the ability to withhold yourself from acting like an idiot is greatly reduced due to "internet courage". Players feel they can say/do anything without any repercussions/consequences befalling their way.
