Hey beautiful souls! Who here thinks it’s actually possible to build a healthy bankroll from absolute zero? More importantly, has anyone here actually pulled it off? Would love to hear your thoughts and stories!

I've already done multiple time on different platforms, my only issue is that I don't respect bankroll management and I go quickly to higher stake and broke back to zero.. I'm aware that self discipline is the issue here..

What do you class as a healthy bankroll and how long are you willing to let it take? as I have made £2,250 from freerolls and micro games but this have taken me 18 months.

Well done! i guess 2k is a healthy bankroll you can grind micro easily, I did it several time but never cross 1k because i take too much shot in big buy in tournaments with multiple entry.. but all this was in few months.. never had the discipline to grind micro for a year and a half like you did. that's impressive self control you have!
good luck to you and thanks for sharing your exp

You already know exactly what the issue is. Your question is about building a bankroll but what you really need to consider is how to not burn the one you've already built which is a totally different situation.

What makes you want to take the big shots even when you know it's bad BRM?

It’s obviously a slower process, but it can be done. In fact, I’d recommend to anyone who’s just starting out that they absolutely shouldn’t risk their own money—instead, they should experience what it’s like to win small amounts and manage their winnings. I think that’s the only way to truly appreciate the bigger tournaments later on, not to mention gaining valuable experience.

Your capital is just a reflection of it.

Mathematically, it's possible if a player has: a real edge over the field, high volume, emotional discipline, and solid bankroll management. Starting literally from $0 is usually a huge waste of time. If you can save even just $50 or $100 by working a few hours, you'll be starting in a much better position.

I agree, this is what i thought too, but how cool it would be to say that I grinded my way up here from zero

I'm not sure that everyone will be able to collect a solid bankroll, but many people will be able to create a small bankroll, the main thing is to strive for their goal.

In poker, not everything is under human control; there is a certain amount of luck involved.A strict action plan, discipline, and good play are what will help you achieve your goals throughout your poker career. Another important companion will be yourself, or more precisely, your confidence in your own abilities.

It’s very difficult, but it can definitely be done. In my experience, it’s mostly a matter of time and putting in enough volume and experience. CC is a really good tool to help you get there, but you need patience, dedication, and to learn not to limp hands lol 😅

I think many CardsChat members have successfully built their bankrolls starting from freerolls. CardsChat freerolls really give players the opportunity to grow a bankroll from zero.

It’s not easy and it takes time, patience, and consistency. Enjoy the journey, and hopefully you succeed too. Good luck!

It's clearly possible with bankroll management, as the risk is zero. I would suggest starting to build your bankroll with Cardschat freerolls. Begin only with freerolls without making buy-ins in the early to medium term. Besides accumulating a bankroll, you will also gain playing experience. After you have accumulated around $200, it makes sense to start with micro buy-in tournaments, like $1, and see if you can become profitable in the medium term, gradually increasing your bankroll without rushing. So yes, this is entirely possible.

Não é fácil e exige tempo, paciência e consistência. Aproveite a jornada e espero que você também tenha sucesso. Boa sorte!
Yes, many people only play free tournaments and build their bankroll exclusively that way.
