How was your first time playing poker with real money?

I went to a former neighbors house, they taught me how to play, the value of hands (flushes, straights, pairs, trips etc.). He payed for my buy-in because I had never played before. I was doing well and winning but don't remember if we finished this game. This was many many years ago. At least in the range of 12 to 13 years ago. I was around 15-16-17 years old back then.

After this came many shorthanded games with 5-6 players usually with my neighbors. We each paid $1 or $2 to play and it was usually hold em and as we played more and more we started playing omaha and omaha hi-low. Usually 1st and 2nd would get paid and third got his buyin back. That was our rules. We played almost every week sometimes more than once a week or once a night. We really played a lot of poker back then. I actually enjoyed poker back then. It's quite different to play with your friends live for a buck or two when you're 16 vs. playing in a computer screen where you don't know anybody and conversation and fun are minimal or at least reduced when compared to genuine fun.

I also first tried poker in a live casino, played without even knowing the rules, I certainly did not like to lose. But then after about a year, after watching the final tables from PokerStars on TV, I decided to play poker.

Hello everyone, how was your first time playing poker with real money?
My first time was in a live casino, I was very excited.
From that moment I was fascinated with live poker and whenever I can, I turn around the casino to play Texas Holdem poker.
I didn't have good results that time, since I lost all my stack with a full house.
But from that day on, I started to study poker more and although I still have a lot to learn, I remember that day when I felt very ashamed of losing so fast.
Today I see defeat as part of this wonderful game. And I feel that losing a poker is not death, but it makes no sense to lose for losing. Some teaching can leave us that bitter taste.

Regards and gl!

Hello dear friend.

To be very realistic, I never played with very high values. I would like to try in a casino, but here where I live I don't find any. A feather!
I'm in a very good phase and I studied hard to be in the meta game. But I haven't had much time to play because I'm focused on the trade.
I still want to test the game quality I developed. We'll look at the opportunities and the next chapters.😉

Hi, my first deposit was 10 dollars. from them I spun up to buy in on a Sunday million for poker stars, played everything undermined from zooms to spin go. I didn’t hit the money in the Sunday. I did not play more in such expensive tournaments, but it was fun, I really wanted to win 100k + then😀🙄🙄

I played for money for the first time in a real casino, although the game was called blackjack, and I was a little lucky that day, I won 50 dollars, then I started playing poker as a strange but I also had luck, and then I was carried away, I expected that I would always win, but it was not there.

I played first time online poker in 2009 and then I introduced the game of poker to a few mates. We all then started to play live poker at each others places. It was so much fun and doing again this Friday I cant wait.

In the beginning, I poorly calculated possible hands, so I started playing in survival tournaments. You wait for a hand and go to olin.

I looked like you, but my first real money game was electronic roulette 😀

Random actions I had no idea what I was doing) Most of people start like that)
