What's the best advice you'd give to a new poker player?

If I could give just one piece of advice to beginners, it would be to focus on learning the fundamentals instead of chasing quick wins. A lot of new players worry too much about results and getting lucky, but poker is a long-term game. Learn position, understand basic hand ranges, manage your bankroll, and review your decisions after sessions. Losing is part of the process, so try to focus on whether you made the right play rather than whether you won the pot. The players who improve are usually the ones who stay patient and keep learning.

Spend more time studying than playing at first. Growing your skills then your experiences will turbo charge poker success.

Understand the game before investing money. There is free coaching on Cardschat. Play money is nothing like the money games.

If I was only limited to one piece of advice to give a newer player that wasn't posted above already. It would be learn and play both cash(full-ring) and MTT's. The majority of us have jobs and cash can be played in the evening or after work for 2-3 hours on weekdays. MTT's can be played on weekends. I do personally because I like and enjoy 10+ min or longer blind level MTT's. They take more then a 2-3 hours I have during the weekdays/evenings and I don't enjoy the lottery turbos that are basically turn into all-in shove-fest's way to soon.
