Jacks - how to play this hand?

I often lose with such a hand, I think this is the most problematic hand, it is not so easy to win. As you play this hand? And how often do you drop it?

its a hard hand to pass on that is for sure.. I never fold them preflop unless I'm in a position where I can sit back and let it go and wait rather then calling all in with it.. If I'm chip leader I don't risk a lot of chips unless I have to or have some thing grand.. some times I play them like small pairs and try to hit sets or at least make sure over cards don't come up

Pocket Jacks are commonly referred to as "Fish Hooks" because "fish" have a hard time letting them go.

Consider though, that over 50% of the time, there will be an overcard to the flop, and that increases to 70% by the river. They dont hold very often.

your in middle pocket pair and should be played as such. Your flop has to miss everyone and give the overs on the flop. If not then just fold them if you get push back

I just go straight all in with JJ in tournaments and hope to get called by a lower pair.

I never like when I see JJ. Too often they are causing problems, so I put them on the same track as 88, 99 and TT. Always play very careful with them and could use them for preflop all in shove if I am short, but not with a good stack or at the beginning of a tournament.

There is no reason to play JJ for all of your chips, unless your short stacked. Play them like 77-1010. Play pot control unless you flip a set. Keep it small to minimize your losses. Jacks are the 4th best hand PRE-flop, post-flop they can be in big trouble.

Crazy how some play any pair like they are AA. See to many times donks calling all in with anything down to 22 and for there stacks. JJ is tough and depends on as some mentioned your stacksize and place in the tourney and so on.

I'd rather play jj than 10's like other have said u just go all in with it, unless people have shoved before you and it's a multi way all in than I'm not so sure about my odds with jacks

Push a little before the flop is a very good idea will eliminate those players who do not have good hands, see the flop and know how strong is your hand to push hard, are keys to the success of your hand jj

early in a tourney I play them very tight. Will loosen up later depending on stack. Lots of memorable losses with JJ

Unless there's a certain situations you can't just say go all in with it lol. In freerolls and short stacks its very easy to play. When you are deep, you should be just calling out of position if your opponent is tough and 3 betting in position. But this is just my opinion.

well, that's not the worst hand , it all depends on position and opponents , with any map you can make it so that the players throw even strong hands for example, the AK HELL , the right thing to play

I think that such a move is dangerous, I have repeatedly seen the player who put an all in with JJ, took off from the tournament.

in my opinion JJ against 2-4 player play open hand only.. if its headsup I shove..

JJ is a very complicated card to play, since it is more than anything a 50-50, if the flop do not appear superior cards you have to bet hard to protect your hand

The reason why JJ is an awful hand is because it's hard to fold them, to be winning in the long run with JJ you need to fold a lot of times.

Dont Drop

Don't drop it unless there's an all in and you're comfortably stacked. Otherwise, play it exactly as youd play 8s or 9s.

Yes, it is especially difficult to play with them when on a board there is a card J is more senior.
