Losing too much with AA/KK

It all depends on the game situation, level of blinds, who you are going to play against. But what I always think about is how not to play with AA and KK, which is going on limp, or doing mini raises, only calling when someone raises. I avoid these things because otherwise people pay with any two cards and end up taking bad

AA, KK are hands that can be very challenging due to our emotional involvement with them. 😅 You think about them differently since you have a huge desire to win with them. I think the biggest key to winning with them is to not try to win the big pot with them every single time. Raise your blinds, develop your pots, and pay attention to what is happening on the board and to your opponent. If the flop falls very coordinated and your opponent is showing signs of having an extremely strong hand, it might be best to slow down.

You will always lose with AA, KK, but it is more essential to ensure you are maximizing your gains when you do win. ♠️

What is the correct way to play? AA. KK Most of the time, I lose with these two hands.

I'm not sure how you are playing them to lose most of the time. All that I can say are the common ways to play them poorly.

1 - Limp them pre-flop. Don't outsmart yourself. The best way to get sucked out is to limp it in and end up in a multiway pot with no read on any of your opponents. The more people seeing the flop, the more chance that someone flukes 2-pair or better. NEVER slow play pre-flop because slow playing is for monster hands and pre-flop the best hand that we can have is a pair <- not a monster. Other than that, the only time to trap with these hands is in an icm situation where we have isolation with or have a strong chance of isolation with a short stack.

2 - Jam them pre with a deep stack. We fold out all of our value and the few hands that a good player might call us with will be very good hands that could catch a card and beat us, or if some punter calls with J8s and runs out a flush we felt. So don't do that.

3 - Failing to put on the brakes when the board or Villain action sets off alarm bells. When the flop is 789 monotone and we don't have a flush draw, we need to exercise pot control. In the case of KK, when an A hits the board, same thing, pot control and beware. Or when Villain bets the flop large and barrel the turn large, he might have better than a pair. We might need to fold. Or when a complete nit calls us down or raises, this is bad.

Yep AA and KK whilst monster premiums as pre flop pocket pairs- they dont give us a divine right to win and often fall foul of lower pockets or ace rags in the case of KK.
The other day i was in the last 25 of a tourney and had a player in late pos jam 18k with 22 v my KK in BB, i called and the river dropped a 2.
I just smiled, made a coffee and chalked it up to another Bad beat. No divine right..😉

I think that with these cards, you just remember your defeats too well and forget your victories too quickly.
