I was playing stake poker a while back with very good standing actually I was the chip leader,I hit trip's of 88 twice and because of exactly that checking I lost 2 consecutive hand's and that's how I was kicked out of the tournament, since then If am sure I would rather not see the river or make it expensive enough

Aggressive poker can be profitable, but aggression without a plan is just recklessness.
Every raise and bet should have a purpose. Strong players apply pressure strategically rather than simply trying to bully the table.
