Been studying GTO Poker for a few weeks now, and yes, it seems to have helped my game. Time will tell, but the early results are promising.

How about you?

Yes if you want to level up your game studying GTO along with everything else will help your game. It helps get a baseline on your opponent so you can help find the mistakes in their game.

For me studying GTO has really helped me. Not the specific ranges to play but the why of the actions I take vs Villains possible range.

GTO teaches you about value targets and why we choose sizing based on those targets.
It also helps with understanding the why of going all-in with hands for 40bb preflop or 3x pot on rivers etc. The kind of thing that is difficult to learn without a solid basis of the why?

It depends what you play, if you usually play against a bunch of GTO players - then yes you need it.

If you just play games with a bunch of sitter limpers - then you should just focus on exploitive play.

Dont waste GTO on players who wont even go after the dead money.

If the best players and results in the world are using GTO... then why not to study using it?

It’s definitely different from “normal” play, or at least what a lot of low stakes players do.

But high stakes players are more like GTO.
