I learned playing poker with friends and schoolmates a very long time ago.
And I'm improving my skills nowadays with local low price tournaments and sit'n'gos.
I love this game very much. :)

Learning to play

I learned to play in smoky back rooms but I really refined my style of play on Ful Tilt. Playing online I had to adjust to not being able to look at players to spot weakness in their game. I have begun to play more statistically sound poker.

while betting at a sportsbook

while betting at a sportsbook i read about their poker room and freeroll. Didn't know much about it, and that first game someone told me about cardschat and i came here, (cause I needed it). This is the first forum i joined and started playing more frequently then in the freerolls. But Ny state where i lived closed the door on my deposit options so for a while i couldn't play in a lot of games anywhere. Then all the cardschat sites closed on us in all the states which was bad. Used to play a titan alot and noble. Kinda liked those sites. But I love full tilt so im glad i can play this freeroll from cards chat. Thanx cardschat.

Been playing poker since I was about 16 with family. Never heard of hold-em till playing with friends about 2yrs ago. Thought it was great game. Got computer 2yrs ago and checked out online games search. When I found holdem was thrilled. Played with playmoney. Got addicted. Its now my favorite passtime. Probably on line 8hrs a day playing. Good thing I'm a retired housewife lol.

I learned to play poker and other card games when I was about 8 or 10 years old (umpteen dozen years ago). Just a hop, skip, and jump to holdem. Really enjoy playing.

I started after watching some EPT videos on TV.
So, I saw Poker - Online Poker Games at PokerStars - Play Texas Holdem and tried there.
At the beginning I tried on play money tables, and I begin to win most of the times.
So, I tried to play on freeroll for real money and after winning a few $, tried to play on 2-4 cents tables.
But I can't stand loosing with better hand against crap cards, so I decided continue with my freerolls and just play for fun

That's all

Good luck all

i learned to play poker online at partypoker with free money ringgames. Besides i read some poker books and i love to watch the pros on tv. My first Real-Money poker account was at Poker4ever, where i build up my bankroll. With the money I won there i deposited to other sites like carbon...
I also cashed out money

learned to play poker....

Well I learned to play poker at a local bar. A bunch of us would get together on Tuesday nights and play all different kinds of games for usually 1-2. As I got better I took my talents to the casino and also excelled there. Now I for the most part play on-line. Yankeenut23

I learned to play on the old site, Dynamite Poker. I first registered on the site to watch my brother play and chat with him. But, I started entering the freerolls and got hooked. This was back in 2003.

Got swept by the whole Moneymaker poker frenzy. It was right when the sport really started to garner national attention. Would play every weekend with buddies in 5 and 10 dollar tournies along with .25/.50 cash games. Picked up on Sklansky's and Harrington's books and its been uphill ever since then.
