last year with their new policy it was kind of it crazy trying to get signed up for tournaments and very confusing this year I have to say they've got it very under control and it ran smoothly as hell.

Now here's the one thing I want to give everybody a real heads up on, be careful of what you're told and hear double check. I went into the casino to play one of these side events and I was told that it was cancelled and actually all those side events that day were cancelled. I wasn't too worried no big deal did my thing at a nice launch start a meeting some of the pros that day and then saw the tournament was playing. Luckily there were break and one of the floor managers was there and I asked them yeah why was people being told it was cancelled and he told me that yeah there's misinformation around here at times he asked me for the details the person where it happened and I told them but if you happen to get there and get some information and you don't though it's true you might wanna double check this year because frankly I was a bit shocked buy this. That wasn't upset it's no big deal on the grand scheme of things but I heard others talk about things like this too.

The second thing I want to give you guys a heads up on I want to play the senior side event which started at 9:00 AM. Security wouldn't let anybody pass to go sign up or into the room to play poker as they said it doesn't open till 11AM. Now to the person's credit they did radio and somebody came out and they went and checked with the floor manager who's inside a locked room and confirmed that yes we should have been allowed in at 8:00 AM but when it's 15 minutes away from the tournament and you have nobody coming in to sign up it's probably not a good thing guys.

As for the running of the of the games this year, it was really smooth this year. Yeah some of the dealers were very new and didn't know the nominations and didn't know the rules ohh I think we've all come to the conclusion that yeah we are never going to get perfect dealer setups with this being just such a big once a year event.

So if you get a chance to go have fun good luck. peace out.

Thanks for the update. It's great to hear that things are running much more smoothly this year compared to last year.

The biggest takeaway for me is your advice to double-check information. At a huge event with thousands of players, misinformation can happen, and missing a tournament because of a misunderstanding would be incredibly frustrating.

The issue with security blocking access before the senior event is also a good reminder that even when the overall organization improves, communication between different staff groups can still be a challenge.

Overall, though, it sounds like the positives far outweigh the negatives. No event of that size will ever be perfect, but smooth tournament operations are what players care about most. Thanks for sharing your experience, and good luck in the rest of your events! ♠️🍀

Good luck Ken. Hope you make some deep runs.
I have to also live vicariously through other Cardschat members since I doubt that I shall play in the WSOP again…it was so hot that I went from the airport to the hotel, then without leaving the hotel until I went back to the airport 4 days later…can’t handle the heat…I love Las Vegas in March and October.
