Honestly I thought he played like a bit of a donk in the Main Event last year - - a style somewhat similar to how poker was played 20years ago. I was fortunate to listen in on some pros as they were breaking down/reviewing HH's from the Main Event & I was happy to see my thoughts weren't far off at all (keeping in mind, I'm just a fish )

Mimizrachi playing style is pretty much old school so that all fits and there's many 2 cards he doesn't like :ROFLMAO:. He gets away with it cause he's really good at playing that style and reading people. I have no idea if he plays online or not but if he does I'd assume he's a losing player.

Cheers!!!

He is a player who combines talent, experience and courage, capable of winning in the most difficult scenarios thanks to his ability to interpret situations and make difficult decisions without hesitation.

He is a hard guy to play against because he doesnt really play "standard abc" poker.

Think that a lot of people are used to GTO and he makes a lot of non GTO type plays.

I think its his live tell and hand reading skills that allow him to play his really aggressive style.

All my respect to this shark since Mizrachi dominates all the variants of this game.

If you follow poker, you always hear people talking about Michael Mizrachi. He's an outstanding player, but he's not like Martin Kabrhel, who constantly creates controversy and ends up being the center of attention because of it.

To me, a truly great player is someone who wins consistently without creating drama at the table. That's exactly what "The Grinder" represents—letting your results do the talking instead of constantly making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Michael Mizrachi was born in 1981 in Miami. His love of poker ran in his family. His mother often played the game at low limits. Consequently, he and his brothers began their poker careers at the same time, when he was just 13 years old. While his older brother Robert began playing live tournaments, Michael and Daniel started playing online poker.Winner of nine world series of poker bracelets.

I think he's one of those players whose results speak louder than his media presence.

Mizrachi has been competing at the highest level for a long time, across different formats, and that kind of longevity is hard to achieve in poker. Maybe he doesn't generate as many headlines as some others, but he's definitely earned the respect of anyone who follows the game closely.

I've had the pleasure/misfortune to play against the Grinder. Nice guy but he blind min-raised my BB every orbit before busting my AT with AQ.

I played with him in a 7-Card Stud bracelet event. He’s a super chill guy, even when I beat him in a massive pot 😉

In terms of NLHE, he takes some incredibly high variance spots preflop which makes his style look overly gambly and reckless. But he forces more overfolds than normal when he’s behind and gets more action when he’s ahead that standard players wouldn’t get.

He is also very exploitative postflop. He puts opponents in situations where their range is capped on the flop—essentially playing their hand face up—and uses that to his advantage on later streets. This also helps minimize some of the losses his high variance preflop play creates.
