I've seen people so well covered up now, while playing live poker, it's unbelievable. Wearing hats, headphones, sunglasses, a concealing long sleeve shirt or jacket, gloves, and a mask, including full tubular masks that go completely around their face, ears, and neck, that you can't even tell it's a real person under there! Haha.
Do you think people will try to continue to wear masks, long after the Covid-19 pandemic is behind us? And how would you feel about that?

definitely yes, I will use a mask, I have seen many acquaintances die from this virus:(

Normal people will wear it until the pandemic is completely over. Even now, the abnormal ones do not observe anything...

Wearing a mask is a good thing in poker... You only going to lose because you can't see your opponents face. Although they can't see yours :)

I think wearing a mask now is a smart thing to do but sometimes
I think some people go to far in how they are trying to cover their faces.

At the moment, they demand to wear masks, but I hope they will soon cancel it.

So you are that kind of (hysterical) people who wear them even at home (and maybe even while sleeping) :hmmmm2:

My comment was meant in jest. That means it was meant to be funny. Was definitely not meant to elicit any ill-mannered responses.

Have a nice day

We will wear masks for a long time, I think for 4-5 years, and what they wear at live tournaments is correct, it is good that they are not forced to wear them in tennis and football, masks are already a way of life for mankind.

I agree, masks will be for a long time. But I do not believe that these masks help for covid, but it helps for other infections :)

I would wear a mask just because that's the rule, not for anything more.

You'd know then that unfortuntately atleast 90% people here do not understand jokes in any way whatsoever so need to be cautious with them ...

Also that comment ^ - whether it was good jest (or not) there are still (way too many) people nowadays who would do just that (and probably something even more extreme aswell) :bebored:

if there are protective glasses, you probably can not wear masks during the game, but you should not neglect the mask during breaks.

I'm going to assume that this is simply a miscommunication caused by language, because your response makes no sense at all.

I see you speak for 90% of people here. That must be very nice for you.

There was no rule against it before covid, why should their be now? I wonder if the discomfort harms play.

From the first time I visited Japan, I became quickly habituated to masks. It was explained that a sense of civic pride kept people from spreading colds and flu.

I have also been in highly polluted environments where people masked for health reasons. I will presume now this pandemic has changed western habits many will now adapt in a similar manner. I expect to see masks worn on the Tube in winter flu season, and it would make perfect sense to see people wear masks in casinos as they are notorious breeding grounds for bacteria.

People have joked about leaving the wsop in poor health for decades....wearing a mask, pandemic or not will make sense for some.
