Is there any way to play now? The ban started on the 11/9. Vpn won't work, pokerstars somehow knew I was using one! Is playing with cryptocurrency illegal?
VPN was a silly way to go, of course Stars knew you were using one.
I still play for cash at all of these following sites that CardsChat has games at, use the links to download the software and you too can play in the CardsChat
freerolls and cash games that are in the morning for the Aussie eastern states, 10am at the moment but soon will be at 12noon. Buy in is currently 6am but will be 8am soon when we go to daylight saving time.
These sites all run many freerolls daily.
We have a CardsChat leaderboard competition also that has quarterly and yearly prizes for the CardsChat games, and trust me they are a good quality game, unlike the all in donkfests you can encounter.
You can also play at cash tables and in buy in tournaments.

You can play if pokerstars give you even if it is ilegall in Australia I mean if you can login good, deposit and withdawal without problems. Then just try to use payment services with which country cant discover from where money comed or try to send money to skrill or neteller and deposit to your local sportbetting site.
No you can't Poker Stars have left Australia, just like 888 did on 1st of Jan and Party Poker did on 31st August.
These site are very legit and pulled out and will follow the law because when the dickheads in Canberra finally decide that poker isn't what they were really after and start to issue licences for
online poker, they want to be the first in line to get back into the Aussie market.

I've tried that using a vpn and pokerstars blocked my UK account.
Of course they did, it is against their T&C's

Hi I've seen Australian people on America's Cardroom the last few days...so there are at least some options.
This, and the other rooms I linked, even Ignition poker has recently started allowing Aussies where previously they didn't.

Yeah Stars won't let you play on a VPN and yes, they're smart enough to catch you. If you want to reactivate an Australian account you have to move to another country, and then prove to them that you've relocated there.
Sites that allow Americans will also allow Australians because they DGAF about the legalities. The Australian legal situation was always that it was illegal for the sites to offer the service to us, not for us to play on them, and as far as I know that hasn't changed (important disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer / this is not legal advice).
It hasn't changed, go directly to the Bar Association and sign up, do not pass go.

All registered players from Australia are not eligible to play. Change the place of residence and documented it.
No need to move anywhere.

Condolences to Australia!
For what, it is only 3 poker rooms that stopped providing services, online poker is still alive in Australia.
