I think the biggest challenge for me is constantly studying and practicing to face opponents who are becoming increasingly difficult to beat; they prepare well, too, and the level of competition has risen in recent years.

The biggest challenge in online play is staying mentally stable, even when you take absurd Bad Beats, few manage to do that.

For me it's variance, because it also affects the other three.

A downswing can make good opponents seem unbeatable, hurt your focus and even make multi tabling a mistake. If you can stay mentally strong through variance, everything else becomes much easier to manage.

That's why I think mental game is one of the best investments an online player can make.

It's hard to say you can succeed when literally sponsored pros are posting videos with solvers running on their screens, and the only reaction from the site is "haha, what a joker!"Being a pro in online tournaments has long been unrealistic unless you can play at high stakes in a global pool with a relatively large volume.Weak players don't use solvers or HUDs. Your money comes from weak players. The sky is falling on you guys and online poker every day.

Both A, B and C. Multitabling is something, you entirely control yourself, so I would not call that a challenge. You just need to find your sweet spot and be ready to reduce the table count, if you begin to feel tired or find yourself running on autopilot to much. Especially on PokerStars I often start with up to 6 tables, but then let the number drop later in the session, as I bust from or complete tournaments.

Staying focused, I would say. I do too much multitasking. Also playing too many freerolls and ending up not paying too much attention to game or playing randomly when actually tired of playing.

D) Playing multiple tables at the same time
It is an operational challenge. Playing too many tables reduces the quality of decision-making. It is generally recommended to increase the number of tables gradually.
