Why don't all rooms use crypto for gaming? This is the future.

Crypto does have advantages — fast transactions, lower fees, and more privacy.

But many poker rooms operate under strict regulations, and crypto laws are still unclear in many countries.
There are also concerns about volatility, security, and compliance with anti-money-laundering rules.

Because of that, many sites still prefer traditional payment methods.

Crypto may grow in poker, but regulation is the biggest hurdle right now.

It may be due to regulations or policies in some countries, but an increasing number of platforms and businesses have already started offering payment options using cryptocurrencies....

I made the switch and truly hope government minds there own business. I am fed up beyond measure with Uncle Sam worrying about what I do with my money.

The "future" arrived a long time ago: Seals With Clubs uses Bitcoin for depositing, withdrawing, and playing. Each chip is worth 1E-6 Bitcoin. The major downside here is that you're gambling twice: on your cards and on the value of Bitcoin which is highly volatile.

It won't be the future, it already is.

get the appeal — crypto is fast, borderless, and usually has lower fees, which is great for poker players.
But I don’t think it’s that simple for all rooms to switch. There are a few big obstacles:
  • Regulation: Many poker sites operate under strict licenses, and crypto still has legal gray areas in a lot of countries.
  • Volatility: Not everyone wants their bankroll fluctuating with the price of BTC or other coins.
  • User experience: A lot of casual players still find crypto confusing compared to traditional payment methods.
  • Trust & compliance: KYC, anti-money laundering rules, and security concerns make it harder for major operators.
That said, I do think crypto will keep growing in poker, especially in newer or more flexible platforms. Maybe not 100% adoption anytime soon, but definitely a bigger role in the future.
