Because online poker uses digital numbers instead of physical chips, do you find it easier to click 'Call' with your entire stack without feeling the same emotional weight you would feel at a casino?

Definitely. Online, the money can feel more like numbers on a screen, so clicking call is psychologically easier than pushing physical chips forward. I think tracking every buy-in in real-money terms helps keep that emotional distance under control.

It is money no matter if online or live.
So every person that invests money should be awre what he is doing with his money (no matter if online or live).

Physical chips can make an individual call feel more painful, but the screen can make it easier to make many more risky decisions.

Nope! For me, losing money feels exactly the same online as it does in a live game. Money is money, unfortunately. 😂

What does feel different is that losing in a live game somehow feels more fair. Online, I seem to get hit with way more bad beats, which can make it feel a lot more frustrating and unfair.

I’m not sure if that’s because online players are anonymous and therefore more willing to call with all sorts of questionable hands without any shame, whereas at a live table you’re actually sitting across from the person you’re making that call against...

Definitely, but I have no doubt that at higher stakes people think a lot before calling, this kind of craziness happens more at micro stakes.

I can relate to that. It's understandable that online there might be more nuts calls because of the lack of physical tells and the dynamics of the table, but I think a bad beat is a bad beat no matter where it happens. Someone hitting a 72o against your big bet is just as heartbreaking to see on a screen as it is at a physical table. 😂🃏

Absolutely it's just numbers on a screen. chips feels way more real. Especially seeing chips dragged away from you.

Como o poker online usa números digitais em vez de fichas físicas, você acha mais fácil clicar em "Pagar" com todas as suas fichas sem sentir o mesmo peso emocional que sentiria em um cassino?
In fact, it's safer to lose money online, because it's money that you put there knowing you could lose, you put the money at risk on your own, so you feel less when you lose and what makes many people calm is that they think you lost trying to win, in a way that comforts many lol
