I time out quite often when i have several tables going. My laptop lost it's sound function so the warning noise doesn't alert me either .

Yeah, misclicks are part of online poker unfortunately, especially when you’re multitabling or playing fast formats.

For me, the key is treating it like variance — just another uncontrollable factor. If you let it affect you emotionally, it can easily snowball into worse decisions in the next hands.

What helps:

  • Immediate reset: I take a second, breathe, and mentally label it as “out of my control.”
  • Stay process-focused: One hand doesn’t define the session. I just go back to making the best decisions possible.
  • Preventive adjustments: Bigger bet buttons, confirmation for big bets (if available), and slowing down slightly in important spots.
At the end of the day, everyone misclicks sometimes. The difference is whether you let it tilt you or not.

You need to tell yourself that the mis-click is gone, and to concentrate on the next click.

As far as I remember, I didn't miss-click, but sometimes I just got lost in my thoughts and forgot to place a bet with good cards.

Online poker is fast, and every now and then a misclick happens, whether it’s a wrong bet size or folding by accident.

It can be really frustrating, especially in important spots.

How do you handle misclicks mentally? Do you just move on quickly or does it affect your play for a while?
I’d like to say that I just shake it off and go on, but, depending on what stage of a tournament or how big a hand in cash games, I get rattled and may play over cautious or overly aggressive.

misclick all the time, esp when playing multiple tables at once, just have to deal with it and roll with the punches

My situation is a bit different — I like to watch YouTube or just surf the internet while playing, often clicking around. And at that moment a table pops up, and I end up clicking fold or call by accident. It doesn’t really matter which, but it’s pretty frustrating))))))))

Yes, misclicks happen sometimes, especially during multitabling or fast decisions.

The best way to deal with them is to stay calm and not let one mistake affect the rest of the session.
Most misclicks come from rushing or lack of focus.
Using table layouts carefully and reducing the number of tables can help avoid them.

In the long run, mental recovery after a mistake is more important than the mistake itself.

Rake is definitely a big factor in online poker, especially at micro and low stakes.

If the rake is too high, it becomes harder for regular players to stay profitable long term.
That said, good players can still beat the games with solid strategy and table selection.

Rakeback and promotions also help offset some of the cost.

So rake isn’t “killing” poker, but high rake can definitely hurt the ecosystem if it becomes excessive.

Yes it happens. Like wanting to fold and hit “raise” instead. Always very awkward, when it happen, but then we just go from there and play the rest of the hand as well as possible 😂

Once it's done, it's done. Nothing you can do about it. There's nothing to deal with.
