How important do you think bankroll management is for online poker players, and what rules or strategies do you personally follow to avoid losing too much money during a bad run?

Since I only play freerolls, my rule is to win as much money as possible, make a withdrawal, and deposit it into my bank account; that’s what I’ve done since I started playing, and I’ve multiplied my winnings without risking a thing. Long live freerolls.

Bankroll management is essential, especially during a downswing. I set limits based on my bankroll, stick to stakes I can afford, and never chase losses. Variance is part of the game, so protecting your ability to keep playing matters more than trying to win it all back quickly.

Try to play primarily using money won within the poker room's ecosystem. Don't be the type of player who constantly loses deposit after deposit while trying to win back previous losses.

it's very important... The golden rule is never to put more than 1% of your bankroll into a single buy-in, so you don't play under pressure and can play your A-game.And if your bankroll drops below 100 buy-ins, you need to move down to the level below.

bankroll management is huge for me. I’d rather move down than chase losses and risk busting the whole roll.

Follow a good bankroll management was one of the first things I learned when I used to play on PokerStars. That said, you will never put in risk your winnings.

Bankroll management is the 1st of everything.

When you are playing in a level you are not comfy, your actions will be impacted. Your opponents will sense that.

Also, when you are at the table, it feels differently when you facing a player with shorter stack - this effect is much more obvious when you in a casino table.

Very important, swings are always there waiting for you, you need to have 100/200/300/400/500 buy in bankroll to survive those depending how much you’re better than the field on the limit and game type.

Also bankroll should be as big as possible for a limit, because variance is the most important thing, but also psychologically it hits different when you lost 50 buy ins from 200 buy in bankroll and 400 buy in bankroll.

For example, If you’re playing 1$ spins and have 200$, you probably should switch to 0.25$ spins a soon as your BR goes down to 150$

It’s huge for me. I’d rather play smaller stakes and survive a bad run than chase losses and bust the bankroll.

Bankroll management is about finding the level of how good/bad of a player you are. By using a good bankroll management strategy you can go up in levels as you win and your bankroll increases but as you lose and your bankroll decreases DROP DOWN A LEVEL(S). That way you always have money to play and are not chasing your losses.

The current gaming sites are 888, Party Poker, GGPoker, and WPT Global.

Bankrolls for online poker does not work. Just take any winnings out, any bankroll will disappear otherwise.

For sure bankroll management is the strongest pillar for a successful poker career
For me usually around 200 buy ins are OK
