Do you guys play when kid's and other family members are around? I have wrongly made call's went all in, even folded not coz I wanted but now my kid came jumped on me or pressed button as they are young and just messed my whole game,or my wife although she knows better but still would come with a request at a critical moment that will disrupt my concentration,do you guys face the same or game time you shut everything n everyone out 🤣🤣🤣

I don't think poker is a viable source of income for a family.You have to come to terms with everything and adapt to the situation.

When I start the game, I just close the door to the room. I explained to the children that I have a job and this job will allow me to buy them presents. They agreed to such a "compromise"

Ha, try finding a dead chicken in your living room at end of league first break, sit down, hit the mouse by accident and see that you have just put yourself all in with a 72 offsuit....bhahahaha, definitely not ideal at all. But I dont have a quiet house with 4 dogs that are bat sh*t crazy and they never leave the house.

😂 I don't have kids, but I know exactly what you mean about distractions. It only takes a couple of seconds to miss an important decision online. If I'm playing a tournament I really care about, I try to make sure I won't be interrupted. It's much easier to focus when everyone knows it's "poker time." 😄

Unless poker is your main source of income, then you probably just need to accept, that being married with small children will not leave you much time for anything other than work and family for the foreseable future. Maybe you can play an hour or two after tugging the kids to bed, but thats also the time, you should perhaps spend on your wife, if you want to keep your marriage alive.

my dog. When he wants to be fed he will not take 'Just a minute'... "Wait til' next break!" ... or "Not now! I'm in an important hand!!" for an answer. He has a certain pitch to his whine that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to consider doing anything else but tend to his needs.... RFN! (Right eff'n Now!)

Whenever I play, I try to eliminate as many distractions as possible. I like to take care of everything I need to do before I start a session, because those little distractions almost always end up affecting your game, whether you realize it or not. Being able to focus completely on poker usually leads to much better decisions.
