I’ve been checking out some newer/lesser-known online poker rooms lately, and I’m curious what other players think.
What makes you trust a poker room enough to actually deposit and play regularly?
For me, the important things are:
Legitimate ownership/network
Reliable withdrawals
Enough players and MTT traffic
Fair rake/rewards
Good software
Clear information about where the room is licensed/regulated
Have you discovered any newer rooms recently that are actually worth playing, especially for MTTs?
Would be interested to hear about both good and bad experiences.
Lately within the last few years I've deposited tried both Phenom Poker and WPT Global. Phenom never had enough traffic and is or was back then crypto only which in the end doesn't really appeal to me as I'm from Canada and we don't pay taxes on poker or gambling winnings but we do on crypto. Makes zero sense to me to turn untaxable winnings into taxable money just too play on a poker site.
I would like to try Coin Poker but again it's crypto withdraw only . They do bank/visa deposits and I've asked customer service/support when or if they plan to have bank/visa withdraw methods in the future and haven't gotten a reply yet. Gotta be 25+ hours now......so idk but so far customer service/support doesn't seem that good. I'm going to try some of their freerolls for "The One" coming up I believe this Sunday. Holding off on any deposit till they get bank/visa withdraws.
