No, I don't believe online poker is rigged.
this game is about matematics.. u have a 80% chance of wining means that u will win 80 times out of 100.. its simple.. not rigged, the % is calculated on the cards the other ppls need to get to beat u. not rigged at all.
For what it's worth I think there is some kind of mechanism to let new players run good... Throw your tomatoes at me if you will but I've joined 4 different poker sites and every dang time I started out running godlike hitting top pairs and nut hands at high frequencies. Either poker rooms have prop players that let new players win or perhaps the RNG while random over a huge sample, clusters more wins in the first few 1000 hands. I hate to assume this and I hope somone can show me their personal example where they started on a downswing (assuming you are normally a winning player). I posted this idea earlier in here and last night joined 888 and I'm seeing the same pattern after depositing. Later after the upswing I notice I start being on the other end of the beats. It's likely random chance but I'm still curious to get a big sample of people who either has or hasn't noticed this just to make sure.
I have definitely noticed this also, I play Pokerstars, 888, ACR, GG and PlayNow (Canadian site) and on all of them I have started like gangbusters then after a period of time, ie.a month or so I have falling to a point where I have difficulty winning. I am the same player and play my style yet the cards on all these sites have turned against me..maybe the other players have ALL miraculously gotten so much better..the only variance to this is ACR where I actually can restart winning after a short loss period..someone has suggested clearing your browser of history and cookies every so often..I did this and had immediate results scoring decent hands and catching a lot of winners for about three hours then back to losses??? I realize it is poker![]()
Most likely they use the same software for small stakes as large.Keep it small stakes and it really doesn't matter. why would they cheat for a couple of bucks when they have $110 games. Its like why would you counterfeit a 1 dollar bill?
My approach to online poker is the same as I used to have when I player video poker in A.C. I know the machines are programmed to pay out a set amount so I played the best strategy for the game and hoped for the best. In online poker I play small stakes cash and tournaments. Play the best I can and hope for the best. When I get sucker punched I TRY to just laugh it off. When I win I feel rewarded for beating both the other players and the manipulated software. I don't win a lot, just enough to help pay for some of my other vices.Online poker can be promising when the player plays with wisdom, focus and mainly maintains a routine and studies.
