Had a pretty rough session last night. Nothing crazy, just one of those nights where every decent hand seemed to run into something better.

Started off fine and then somehow ended up chasing losses, which obviously didn’t help. Called it a night in the end.

Anyone else ever have sessions like that where you just know it’s probably better to close the table?

Yeah one night i lost half of my bankroll in few hours and then i have only two options left one to continue playing in tilt or call it a day and try again tomorrow. Hopefully i choosed second option 😅 and made back my back bankroll next day. It's better to call it a night then lossing all of your bankroll in tilt 🙄

If you’re simply trying to get back to even, that’s not a good reason to keep playing. On the other hand, if you’re still playing your A-game, the game is favorable, and you’re in a good state of mind, being down at that moment doesn’t necessarily mean you should leave. You don’t have to win back the money you lost in this session; you just have to make the best decision on the next hand.

The words I'm going to use are harsh, but necessary.

We're living in 2026, the 21st Century, in the Decade of Artificial Intelligence, all poker sites have casinos, how do casinos make money? by taking money from people, do you guys really think online poker isn't rigged? I've played over 1 million hands of Online Poker and I can say, Online Poker, especially Cash Game, is a completely rigged game, they don't want players like us, professionals, taking money from the FISH, because that's not profitable for the casino in the long run, if all beginners get plucked clean the house doesn't gain new customers, that's the truth, ONLINE POKER IS RIGGED. There is a way to beat the system's variance and make money, but you need to play a surreal amount of hands that go over 10 hours a day, all that to win a few dozen dollars and lose another few dozen the next day, if you got a job in another field you'd earn a lot more investing less time, so understand this, it's not worth playing Online Poker to make money, it should only be used as fun, a hobby, I won't even go into detail that 90+% of Poker players are broke and being propped up by sponsorships, pools and course sales, so that's the truth, making a living from Poker is a scam, it's possible to make money, but it's a profession that doesn't pay off.

Yes thats pretty normal, and its important to learn to stop, before you start "chasing losses".

I'm not getting into details about how Poker works, I know how keeping a stable mindset is essential to not making crazy plays, I also understand that "revenge" plays can sink you even further, the point of my message is this: Is it worth playing Online Poker to make money? the answer is no, because the system is rigged to make you lose and not take money from beginners, yes, it's possible to make money, but if you invested that time in another field you'd make a lot more money, that's the point.

Now, if the person has no other skill in life besides playing Poker professionally, then it's better to keep at it.

There might be better ways to make money than playing poker. That is ultimately something, each person can only decide for themselfes. But it has absolutely nothing to do with "the system being rigged". By making such claims you just make yourself look ridiculous. Especially when you simultaneously care about the structure of particular CC freerolls and brag about depositing $6 and turning it into $20 playing 2NL......:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I find it funny how stupid people like you think they're important, before I start this message I need to let you know that you're nothing, the arrogant tone of your message makes it clear you feel special, but you're only special to your family, even though I strongly believe not even they care about you, so to me you're insignificant.

I never bragged about winning 30 dollars, I only said I turned 6 dollars into 30 in a few days, I was a professional Poker player and I used my studies to pull that off, it was just an example, the central topic of the thread is Online Poker and Bad Beats and the only thing you did in your last message was make personal attacks against me, using quotes of mine from other messages and a thread I opened about changing a tournament's structure, that only proves how you're nothing but a loser, your attitude is trash, when a person resorts to personal attacks it proves they lost the argument, you know that, whether people should listen to me with admiration is going to depend on their own values, but I'm sure nobody would take a toxic failure like you seriously, toxic people like you shouldn't be admired, just isolated so they don't contaminate the rest, welcome to my ignore list, I recommend you stop wasting your time replying to my messages, I won't see any more of them, I hope you become a better person, loser.

Yes, definitely. After a while, I can tell when it’s just not my day, and no matter how well I play, I’m not going to win that day.

I’m not sure if you’re talking about cash games or tournaments. I only play tournaments. When you take a bad beat after starting off well, it can be really discouraging. Then you start trying to recover what you lost, and suddenly you see your stack getting smaller and smaller, leaving you with less time to recover in the tournament. I think the best thing to do is take a moment to breathe and calm down, then start trying to rebuild your stack little by little. No need to rush or panic.

It's ultimately very difficult to say for sure that it is or it isn't rigged. Because they have all the data and you only see your side of the statistics. There is no third party overlooking any poker site. They are a business, so obviously they need to be profitable. But we don't have access to data to prove anything. They self police and we are supposed to trust them. I trust no one who makes millions in profit. But I still play freerolls and as soon as I make a few bucks I spend it on cash games or a low buy in tournament and end up loosing. When I look at my GGPoker statistics it shows I made about a thousand dollars. I never withdrew any money from GG so I didn't make any profit. But they keep track of every cent you supposedly won. So if you spin 10 $ into 500 4, then lose it, to them you still made 500 $ in profit.
But like I said, I just play for fun and I'm a losing player online.
