I think poker is the biggest distraction of everything. But well, when playing poker I must keep sound on as anything that happens may distract me from poker and I can easily forget that I was actually playing.

Great question! When I started playing, I'd turn on the TV and not really focus on the game. Another thing was that I'd lie down and get sleepy. Now I play sitting down, with music, without any distractions.

For me, the biggest online poker distraction at home is definitely YouTube. I'll tell myself I'm just putting on something in the background, and before I know it I'm more invested in a random video than the hand I'm playing. 😅

A close second is checking my phone after folding a hand. One quick look turns into scrolling, and suddenly it's my turn with pocket queens and 10 seconds left on the time bank. 😂♠️

My wife's health. There isn't a morning I wake up wondering whether or not she'll still be breathing & quite often during the day I am monitoring her vitals (blood pressure, body temp., heart rate, etc.) wondering if we're headed to the Emergency unit at the Hospital. It has kept me from playing MTT's for the past few years.

My biggest distraction is the cat. If she sits on the mousepad, the keyboard, or right in front of the monitor, that’s it… I’m out of the game. Honestly, I lose more hands because of her than because of tilt.

When I play, I try to shut out the outside world as much as I can. I go to my office, close the door, and put my phone on airplane mode. It helps me stay focused and take the game more seriously.
