If you play well, you can make a living from poker. There is no recipe for earning. They can't all earn poker. A very small percentage of players receive money from poker.

Hi mate..I think just a few can live from poker. .But ,it´s more likely that you can earn a monthly extra money.With patience and bankroll management you can reach that goal.

Realistically, even if you were at the bottom of the top 10% in the World, that would mean there are several million players that are better than you.
I say just have fun and manage your gambling dollars.

Absolutely no. It was honestly on a bit of life support for the last 10 years or more, but coronavirus has totally rivived it at least for now.

Right now games are good everywhere. Just play on a site, which is safe, and where there are no issues with depositing, withdrawing etc.

There is still a good % lower then you(-10%) even that equates to millions of players your better than. Suck it up and play freerolls till you hit a decent roll to begin playing.

You are correct. I was just giving some friendly words of caution to folks that might think they are the real deal.
I have seen a few buddies of mine get lucky early in their poker experience, only to see them fail miserably.

You can but you need a pretty nice bankroll and a lot of patience to get started. Understand you do not always win and sometimes for long spells. I will stick to not throwing my money away.

I doubt that you can make money in online poker rooms unless you have a huge stroke of luck and win a million dollar prize. Another formula so that you can earn money online is that you create a program that gives you an advantage and avoids being detected by the security of the page. For the rest, have fun, hang out and relax, it is a somewhat cheap hobbies if you control yourself

To 'earn money'... why would a person need to 'win a million dollar prize'??

The best 'formula' is to put in the work (studying).

Read through the forum and you will discover some members are making money online.

There's a challenge thread where one player made $25,000 in 30days of playing, starting out with just $5,000 & playing average buyin of $10 at first. It wasn't luck or some secret program that got him there.

I believe that everything will depend on how you view poker.

if you have recreational interests and just for fun, you can earn money from poker, but remember that professionals who are trained will always be better than you, as they are better than me and countless players.

If you are interested in treating poke as a profession, you will have to dedicate yourself to earn a living from it. And even so, you can get frustrated for not having immediate results, I was very frustrated.

Another relevant bridge is that you understand the dynamics of the game before becoming professional, because it is useless if you spend hours / days and at the same time bother with losing hands, or in a flip that participates.
EVERYTHING IS PART OF THE poker game.

That's a vision I have!

I think any poker player thought about this question how often,
I think for being a profissional poker player and live by that job you have to spend so much time and money, altogether it's harder than anyone thinks, I know people that are playing poker for 7 years straight and still have a job

I think a lot of poker players face their version of the Peter Principle.
If they focused on lower levels they would be a winning player, but they push their limit and wreck their bankroll.

Stay away from on-line poker. The glory days of making money with on-line poker died over a decade ago. On-line poker is proliferated by cheaters, scammers, colluders, artificial bots, and little to no incentive to deposit money.

Stick to live games. At least with live games you aren't going to be a victim of foul play by rigged RNGs and players who are colluding and/or using VPNs to multi-account and cheat you out of your money.

no friend, unfortunately I don't believe in poker studios or schools. Poker is a simple game of basic knowledge and luck, the rest is a tale on the way. In fact, a prize of $ 25,000 is a good prize. According to your answer, time and a lot of money, if you want to become a professional player and live from poker, I only need a third condition, luck, a lot of luck, that will depend on the amount of money you invest and your promotion in the game . Otherwise, perfect and sensible response
