That's the key part! Drunken master never fails to deliver.

On a serius note, poker gives opportunities, just don't stop and keep going, 15$ to 142k is CRAZY!
That must be where I am going wrong, playing sober 🙂

Yeah, playing sober you're probably way too tight and passive, just drink a little bit, turn on good music, relax and play for fun

ofc it's a joke, but every joke is only half a joke

Incrível !
Mas alguém sabe quanto de imposto ela terá que pagar sobre seus ganhos?
It's quite sad to know that someone earns a huge sum of money from their own success and has to give a good portion to the government. Money that can change the life of a person and their family—this woman must be giving a nice slice of her pizza to the government, which will take a bite larger than each of her children. It's absurd to think that a woman with two children will earn a good sum from her achievement and have to lose a good portion to the government, which will earn more of the money than any of her children due to the enormous size of the tax cut! In this way, the government became richer than her children.

Satellite Ticket: She played through a $15 satellite and got a ticket to the main event.
Starting Stack: After two hands, she got a ticket for "only 0.3 blinds" and started the tournament with 50 blinds, then built up her stack to 250 blinds during the first hour of play despite being slightly drunk. There's a lot of luck on the player's side of this story! OMG !!!

I guess you didn't see my reply to NotADonk ???

Most likely nothing 🤔
Estonia is part of EU and GGPoker has a Malta licence.

Okay, great! Are you referring to the entire EU? How are taxes generally reduced on live games and gaming sites?

I can't speak for the whole EU since some member states have their own quirks. But in many of them poker winnings are completely tax free as long as the game provider has a suitable gambling license.
For example, as Finnish person I do not pay taxes on any winnings I make on PartyPoker, Pokerstars, 888 or GG (not a comprehensive list) But if I'd play at WPT or ACR those winnings would fall under income tax.

These stories are truly fascinating; that's what makes online poker so special. Who knows, maybe one day great luck will smile upon me.

According to Finnish poker news site Nettipokeri a poker hobbyist Giedré Valgemäe turned a 15 dollar satellite ticket into a handsome amount in GG Masters 1 000 000 GTD, last Monday.
wow that's amazing! I rarely reach ITM when I win an entry in such big events 😅

Congratulations. No... and it worked against people who have already won thousands of dollars

Alright! I’ll try to get a $15 ticket because I see you can win big! I’m not playing anything else anymore! Haha!🙂👍

Pretty cool story, seems like the dream is still alive 😀

Although why there is a whole story about her, isn't this suspicious? Or is that room she won these money at makes a story out of every winner?

The site (Nettipokeri) that published the news is not a poker site. It is simply a poker news site.

She played the game at Olybet which is kind of a GGPoker skin with its own tweaks. I guess any poker site would be happy to have some exposure from events where a player has his/her Moneymaker moment.
But this particular poker player has made well enough at tables also before.

I expected to see this on film, not read on this forum. The story really looks incredible. I congratulate the player from the bottom of my heart on the fantastic success.
