it is always good to know whats going on with regulations and the poker industry because in the past we all knew that there a lot of poker rooms were closed or dont have the permission to operate in many countries. So it is quite affordable if you stay informed that you can react before things going complicated, so for me i learned a lot when unibet was shutting down their appearance in my country.
in my opinion it is necessary to know if your poker platform is a solid company or just a gambling pop up store ;-).

If I am working and being paid to know the regulations of poker and the industry, I am sure I would pay more attention. But like who is the current UFC champion in the 182 weight limit, is not gonna affect me and neither will poker regulations change my whole life style or way of living. Mmm, unless they have a weekly $1million freeroll announcement and I don't mean a satellite.

I don’t follow every piece of poker news, but I like to stay informed about the things that actually matter to players. It’s also good to know the rules and regulations in your own country so you don’t run into unnecessary problems.

But the realisty is - in my country the legal situation of poker is very bad + at the same time very stable. We have very bad regulations already for 20+ years and there is practically no hope for a change (just no significat political force interested in changing anything). So what can I say? These regulations in theory should be important, in practice... nothing to talk about.

I think if there are any really important changes, this news will be in many publications.
