RIP, been a while but I think he was the first I read seriously.

That was because David Sklansky was arrested in Jan. 2026 for domestic battery. He was released from jail but had to post bail. Charges were later dropped for undisclosed reasons. People don't look too highly upon domestic battery... my guess why someone was condemning him (or his alleged actions).

We can re-read his books again. They are the remaining trace in history. I have one like this

I'm going to take my David Sklansky books with me for my poker trip this weekend, hopefully I can use some of his knowledge to get a good result.
 
Oh, that’s so sad. I hadn’t heard the news. I’ve read very few books, but I did read his (and Doyle books too).
