The thing is, she is playing really great for a while now.
She felt good going, but her first event on Tuesday was a $400 buy-in and she was in awe of some of the players there for about the first session, then settled down and started to believe in her game again and since then she has been fine. She finished top 25% in that field.
Her great pal Katie has also been great, introducing her to lots and lots of people, many of them top players. They have all socialised a few times and that has helped her to settle in too.
She knows her own game, and her strengths. She is incredibly patient. With a decent chip stack she can last a long time. She also has a GREAT short-stack game....I can't believe how well she has done tho!
She was STOKED last night when she had cashed and made Day 2 (rightfully so)....she'll be over the moon tonight wherever she finishes!!!

13.2k is what she started the day with (as already stated by Joe earlier).
In the WSOP page chip count updates, they'll typically only update the players who are well-known to the poker community or those who are in the top positions. (this is in all events).
Next year (or next event? MnEv.?) perhaps the WSOP folks/bloggers will be following Deb's table closely & will be regularly posting her chipcount update.

Not only did she get to play with some great players, she gets to cash in her first WSOP event. Making day 3 would be awesome, but no matter what, it's a great accomplishment and very exciting.
Wonder if she'll be able to sleep tonight?

That's a good question! She didn't get loads of sleep last night and may be so mentally exhausted that she manages to crash at some stage!
Update - they are on a break. 41 left. She has a little over 70k.
