Do you notice any difference between the RNG on 888poker and GGPoker, or do they feel the same to you?

RNG means Random Number Generator. Its not possible to be random in different ways, so they are all exactly the same, as are the human dealers in live games. Unless perhaps if you play in a private home game, where someone is cheating.

I agree. I wasn't saying the RNG is different. I was just curious if people feel any difference between the sites based on their own experience, even if it's only because of the different player pools.

There's probably no difference, one night it's bad at one poker room, the next night it's bad at another, but I've always liked playing 888 poker more.

To me, they feel pretty much the same. Every site has those crazy stretches where it seems like anything can happen, but I think that's just variance. I judge a site more by the software, traffic, and games than by the RNG.

But in the case of Poker rooms it's a pseudo-random number generator, so differences are technically possible - whether that difference is detectable in any significant way is highly unlikely but the OP question is valid.

GG RNG has more comedic/dramatic flair, that's for sure..

Heads up pot (less than 10 hands into 6 man SNG)

Personally, I find there’s a huge difference. On GGPoker, the RNG in MTTs is fair; if you work on your game and improve your skills, you’ll get results. On 888, however, the RNG seems directly tied to the site's bottom line: as long as you’re depositing and generating rake, everything is fine, but the moment you withdraw money, you suddenly turn into a loser. I repeat, this is just my personal opinion: back in 2022, starting with a minimum deposit and playing an average buy-in (ABI) of $5, I built my bankroll up to $1,500 over four months. But the moment I put in a withdrawal request for a couple of hundred dollars, a downswing began that lasted two years. Playing freerolls on 888 is decent enough, but playing for real money requires a massive bankroll to handle the endless rebuys.

Somehow I escaped the "withdrawal curse" on 888 Poker, when I played there. My original account when I lived in Denmark:

My current account after moving to Sweden, where 888 operate under a different license:

I withdrew multible times from both accounts, and while my results were not that great over the last 1.000+ games, its not like, I was losing, I was just no longer winning. And realistically that probably had more to do with changes to the games offered and my game selection, where I started to play a decent amount of satellites and did terribly in the target tournaments.

I think, 888 Poker is softer than any of the other sites, where I have played (PokerStars and ACR Poker), and with hindsight maybe it was a mistake to give up on it. At the time however my reasoning was, that I did not think, they had enough MTTs left after changing their schedule multible times. And the SnGs were not as good as those on PokerStars, and later they were removed completely. But those 7k are definitely the easiest money, I have made in online poker.
