i'm wondering if they are running their own server host, or attached by a skin.can they make connection through another IP server that is designed to deal with the traffic attempts, .... when i hear D-DOS i think mass ping >.<


Programmers must be under educated on how to adjust for the issue.....or not understanding what they analyze. :-/

Is anyone else having a problem where when you log into ACR all the tables are are stuck in time. What I mean is there is a snapshot of what the tables looked like at some point and won't update to reflect what is currently happening.

You are not seeing things. If you try to view the game or register for it, they will raise an error and disappear from the list. I did this and all that are left are the Jackpot freerolls and the Reddit $2 private game.

If you close the software and start it back up, those tournaments reappear in the lists.


Also, there is a long delay to get connected and logged in. I am getting "Configured." in the title bar for about a minute. Then "Disconnected from server. Reconnecting..." for about another minute, before you get logged in.

Bottom line. ACR is still not ready.

For the past week ACR has not been working correctly. Sometimes it won't load, others it loads with old data. This particularly bad in tournaments. The CardsChat freerolls don't seem to be showing up. Is anyone else having these problems.

UPDATE FOR ACR Rep:

Not working here. Lag is several minutes. Takes 5 minutes for log on screen to appear. After login screen closes and pop up appears. After another 2 minute lag I click close on Pop up and the entire software closes.

That was yesterday's news. They announced that about 20 hours ago, but the games never started. In fact, the software client went dead and you were unable to log in.

Although you can log into the software client now, it is pretty much useless. There are no tournaments, private games, sit 'n gos, etc. I would be leery about jumping into any cash games also.

There is a Jackpot FR at 3:30pm EST listed (about three hours from now). If that one actually gets started and actually finishes, I would be amazed. I have been in two tournaments over the past days, and both were terminated mid-game.

Well, the Jackpot FR password is published and people are registering. One problem though. The main freeroll lobby is not showing anybody registered at all. In fact, after you do register, the register button is still showing in main lobby (it should say Unregister).

A DDoS attack has nothing to do with security. Over 33% of world-wide businesses get attacked by DDoS everyday.

I will agree that it is a "threat". But you implied that what Joe said has a bearing on that threat. This is not true and is clouding the current issue.

This type of talk makes it seem that the site is "unsecure". Which is not the case when a DDoS attack is underway. Your account and money are not affected.

That is completely false. DDoS attacks can lead to a ton of security compromises and usually have a few cybersecurity threats happen during the DDoS attack. Now the DDoS isn't likely how this is happening but it opens the doors for a onslaught of other attacks which usually ends up resulting in these cybersecurity attacks. If you actually look into it roughly 9 out of 10 DDoS had some form of major data breach during the attack. Some DDoS attacks actually target the security features of a site which makes it even more susceptible to this type of attack. We can't actually say what the outcome of this attack is until it's done and ACR can evaluate their systems and what not and see what was actually affected, they might not even notice some of the smaller breaches that could be happening. Saying things without all the information isn't helping anyone right now, especially without all the information, we just need to sit tight and wait till ACR can get everything undercontrol and evaluate later hopefully this is simply an attack of servers and nothing else.

Understood. And you are right about not having all of the facts. I was just trying to separate the two issues with ACR right now. One fact that I know of is that nobody's money is disappearing. I think we all would be painfully aware of that one.
