Can you begin to taper off the 5 hours of late registration? 4 hours 6 hours of late reg. I mean it was cool at first because it allowed you to offer larger guarantees....but now it is just annoying playing for 3 to 5 hours just to lose to a beat. Taper it off to not suprise folks...I mean 1 hour of late registration is plenty plenty.

I just wanted to add that I dont play at ACR tourneys exactly for that reason. :vollkomme

I hate it when my posts get sent to the tournament team for analyzation lol. One of the most suggested things is tournaments with shorter late registration periods. I applauded when WPN introduced their "gone in 60 minutes" tourneys and was sad when they disappeared without much adieu. I couldn't figure out how offering these could make the platform less profitable. I know there are players who would play in tournaments much more regularly if there were more options that were considerate of those who have other time consuming responsibilities. I wonder if regular players in the regular tournaments were choosing these and reducing demand for the bigger, promotional type tournaments.

I haven't checked lately but I was certainly appreciating some expansion in omaha tournament offerings when I was last active.

ACR, why you almost never change/update your soft or add new features? Seems you don't have programmers at all. Your software is still like it was several years ago and remain to be this. And you don't even try to do anything when other poker sites are constantly updating. Look, for example, at Party Poker, they always try to make something new with their software, recently they added new (and great) tournament lobby. There're some things you need to change to make your program more convinient for your players. For example, I suppose it's better to get rid of these little naggy 'you have succesfully (un-)registered' windows, many of other players think so too (and you have already heard about it in this topic). Do anything with the unclickable lobby bug that appears from time to time even if I have the newest version of Flash, Java, and Chrome-based browser. Another thing is, why there're two different windows for tournament and cash games? It sucks. I don't think it was meant to be this way, it's just a bug, not a feature. It sucks to have two lobbies on the monitor, they take too much free space, and I don't see any real purpose or meaning of having two different lobbies, what for? I will post if I recall anything else.

I was watching the last CAGE Live stream from Costa Rica and the ACR/WPN Honcho that was playing, Phil Nagy was talking about the new poker client that will be launched in late March or April.


Supposedly will allow play from all digital platforms, i.e. phones, tablets, computers, etc.. Also is supposed to make hand histories easier to download, review, play and see....


Maybe the ACR Rep can chime in here and give us better details???

Thanks for this info! Can you tell me, is there any problem depositing or cashing these checks from ACR in any US banks?? I just don't want to finally get a check and have a problem making the check deposit into my bank.


Also, can you tell me what bank and location ACR write there checks from. I am thinking that if I wanted to make a significant withdrawal, it may just be wise to set up an account in the same bank and branch that ACR uses to streamline the deposit process.


Any other ideas on how others are successfully getting access to there funds would be appreciated.

I understand that P2P fund transfers are possible at ACR. I am wondering if it is possible to transfer tournament tickets to another ACR player? If not now will it be possible with the new software debuting in March/April?

The Cage Live Package give away and freerolls for live stream watchers

Hi to all ACR players!


You need to consider watching "The Live Cage" live stream on Twitch. I watched the last one and there is one again in March and about every two months after that.


ACR is going to give away an $8000+ package to one of the live stream watchers if they get there live stream attendance on twitch up to 1000 viewers!!! This beats the heck out of the possible payoffs for freerolls and you can just have it on in the background while playing poker.


They also have freerolls for $250 and $500, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. the passwords are given out on the live stream. and a variety of other give aways, cash into your account, etc...


During the last live stream they did not have enough viewers to allow them to give away an $8000 package and that is a shame!


It was a fun event to watch, especially once they started drinking Costa Rican Koolaid (rum and coke) and drinking shots for the losers of hands!! Phil Nagy made a $1500 call on one hand just in hopes to suck out and not have to do a shot, hilarious stuff! consider joining in!

Venom Steps for entry to the July $5,000,000 Guaranteed tourney

I have been playing the step tourneys to earn a ticket to the Venom Main Event in July. I have made it to step five so far, but not earned my ticket to the Main Event yet. I am just wondering how everyone else is doing in these tournaments and how your luck is going in these step and how far each of you is making it??


Step one is a little hard to navigate and I wonder what strategies others have found successful? The step one is similar to many freerolls with many bingo players that go right to the bubble, but once you make it to step 3 or 4 it seems that the quality of play gets better as people value there ticket and play with more respect to their stacks than they do in the step one free entry. I like the setup of the steps. The level of play gets better in each step and seems that it is good practice and learning for me to get a better example of the kind of play I will see in the Main Event in July.


I would love to hear others thoughts and stories about their experience in these satellite tourneys.

I always seem to get sucked out on players that are inactive and all in. I’m unsure why players that are sitting out are able to win a pot without actually being in the game. Wish that players sitting out/ inactive would be automatic folds and loss of hand.

I was playing the step 1 venom tourney today and the inactive player had 612 chips. Inactive player posted his BB of 400 and then had 212 chips left. I call 400 and two others did too. action came back to the inactive player and was raised to put the inactive player all in for 612 chips total. It happened that the Inactive in the BB had KK and won the pot because he was all in instead of folding to my raise on the flop.


How does this work and ACR should think about changing this raising by inactives always??

I agree with you completely. Inactive players shouldn’t be winning pots and/raising all in instead of folding. This glitch only occurs on ACR network. Other sites auto fold when a player is sitting and inactive.
