To clarify a little further, all of your settings that you had in the previous version of client, as well as player notes, no longer apply. You have to go thru your settings and redo them.

I went back thru to uncheck the double or nothing & avatars. I also changed to 4-color deck, gold colored card backs, and a red table felt. All is right with the world now!! 😀

That Pot total with chip graphic needs to be kept below the cards no matter screen size or resolution. ACR needs to fix that.

Totally agree! Our Development team is working on the software display, they will fix it soon as possible.

I reinstalled 3 times, same outcome. I can load ring games but nothing else from the menu.
Tourney, sit and go are not loading games.

Good comparison. The Government has failed at everything they have ever gotten involved in. Couldn't even make a functioning website. They took over education in the 1960s, America went from the top of the heap for education to present day common core kids who can barely think their way out of a paper bag. The average high school grad can only name 3 state capitals. The US post office has lost money for 16 years straight, and they are still in "business".

Yup, ACR very similar to US government. Take away the competition and you get poor service and low productivity, and of course a low-level employee telling you how wonderful everything is. Uh huh.

Notice what IS fixed. RING GAMES. Over 2/3 site revenue comes from ring games. Always follow the money. First they fixed the deposit option, THEN they fixed the withdrawal option. Good to know they have their priorities straight. Let's make sure players can deposit on our site that doesn't work and then we will focus on our loyal and "valued" players. NO big deal, we don't mind you earning interest on our money that we can't touch. Nagy probably hired the lowest quality techies he could find, and it shows in everything they do.

3 days and they can't even click a few buttons and issue my refund like all the rest. Impressive. Don't worry, I'm in the queue. Wow, I feel special.

I have been gaming online since before the invention of the Internet (Arpanet, anyone?).

Any enterprise that truly cared about their customers would have beta tested this extensively before "upgrading" their client. This rollout is a major fail.

can we get an update ACR rep? Just got kicked off the site while in a cash game with the second nuts and about $24 into a 3-way 60$ pot post river. Really hope that money ends up back in my account, I know it's a stretch that the $100 or so pot it would have been with a caller will ever come to me, but at least my money I put into the pot should.

P.S. I'm still scratching my head as to why we needed this "update" to begin with. I've played happily on your site for a decade and the old software wasn't bad. Really hope you guys can bounce back from this. I'm getting weird flashbacks of all the convenient "Ddoss attacks" that shut down major tourneys when the overlays were huge...just doesn't feel right.

My client is continually downloading and installing 95.01 MB updates..this is the 4th one in a row it's downloaded..no error messages or anything..just update after update after update..are there really this many updates?? Or is the client just destroyed.

This is happening to e now , it was the same last night . I had to take it off and re download , thats prolly what i'll do now.

re-download as in un-install and re-install the whole thing? I guess that could work. At this point I think I'm just gonna wait until I get word from ACR that the client is up and running for good until I waste anymore time with these downloads/installs/updates

$50 on demands going on right now... Noticed the bet slider does not work with mouse wheel. Stack sizes updating correctly in lobby and at table under stats now, they were not before so that is good.

The major workload of a project such as executing a software “upgrade”/switch with end users is the transferring/migration of user data/accounts/possible applications and setting server permissions, etcetera. There are indeed tools/software and/or operating systems to aid in those tasks… The task of migrating end users and their data can take hours maybe days given the scope of data and number of users.

With that typed, this Americas Cardroom software switch is an epic boondoggle…

When a program goes live, especially a program involving legal tender, the error/bugs should be at a miminum…… if not nonexistent, which is simply not always one-hundred percent likely however. And plausible testing, assimilations are key/important/essential to the projected outcome of deploying a live program.

The software itself is/was already written if I am not mistaken, by a third party gaming software developing company. I also noticed a change of software publisher upon initiating the installation of the new software application/package. The publisher of the former software is IGSoft whilst this new program/application is published by Lunar Software Inc.

I wonder if a contract involving IGSoft expired, ergo prompting the desire for a new software publisher/developer. And I mull if the new software designer or ACR for that matter failed to meet a potential deadline, gestating the possible rushing of a release date by ACR’s information technology department, eventually sparking an embryonic series of anomalies/oversights/bugs.

Ha! In addition, impatience/procrastination/violence do not mix well if not at all with information technology…

Nevertheless, there also could be some possible incompetence/negligence within ACR’s IT department and/or of the owner(s) itself/themselves of ACR.

Most of the above is hypothetical of course.

On a productive note… In my opinion, the noises emitted by the new software sound generic/simple, especially the default sound of placing a bet (although I have not searched for any possible substitute). I prefer the sound of betting from the former version, it was also the default sound for betting. That particular noise is/was ‘rich’ as it had the aural effect of mimicking the sound of actual chips sliding on physical table felt, at least in my opinion. It would be nice to have that as an option and/or as default.

I also find the one sizing of the poker table irritating along with the automatic, unauthorized resizing of a window when it is my turn to act. In the old version, after I expanded a table window the table itself would also enlarge. The table enlargement does not happen in the new version, at least not to my current knowledge.

I did the same and mine says "Currently under maintenance. Check back in 30 minutes." Guess it's different for everyone.

Just opened the client. Downloaded a new update but still, same as last night, stuck on the splash screen with the wheel spinning. After a minute or so I get the "down for maintenance check back in 30 min" message.
