If you're in Germany, I'd probably look at sites like PokerStars or GGPoker since they usually have the biggest player pools and regular promotions. As for freerolls, they do exist, but they tend to be limited compared to other countries because of local regulations. I'd also keep an eye on promotions—they often give out tickets to freerolls through missions or special events.

I agree with the above. Since the two largest sites both operate in Germany, you can just stick with them without giving up on much if anything. One site / network, which is not available, is ACR Poker / Winning Poker Network. As for other smaller sites like 888 Poker or PartyPoker, I am not sure. Maybe Andyreas or another of the german forum members can fill you in on that :)

Well you are limited through the "Glücksspielstaatsvertrag" (it is a Law despite the cute name).

You are allowed to play only on the sites on the whitelist, these are GG-Poker, PokerStars, 888-Poker, PartyPoker, bwin and bpremium (PartyPoker, bwin, bpremium are Entain skins). Most other sites that are illegal to play on from Germany do GEO-Blocking(WPN, ACR, ....).

Remember: §285 STGB Teilnahme an unerlaubtem Glücksspiel.

For CC Freerolls use the referral links fron Cardschat to register there.
Most freerolls has 888 and best CardsChat coverage for German players but the traffic is very limited.
PartyPoker and only PartyPoker have limited Freerolls and some good CC ones if you registered through the referral link from CC, traffic is also not so great.
GG has some Freerolls also some CC ones but limited, but the site with the best traffic.
The former leading room PokerStars has no Freerolls and nothing for German players (except some centrolls) that may encourage a poker player from Germany to play there.

This is the perspective for Freeroll players.

The rest is up to your decission, software, stability game choice is another topic.

Except good game selection including traditional SnGs, excellent software, good security, fast payouts and the ability to collect your hands in a tracker like PT4. But of course if you only care about freerolls, then none of this matter ;)

And the highest number of regulars that wait for fresh fish to take their money.
Plus no rakeback, no real table selection for cash games, all no goes since regulation.
:ROFLMAO:
So for players with a lot of experience maybe a good choice but not for beginners.

You mean just like GG Poker? GG Poker is also full of regulars waiting to take your money, and there is no table selection in cash games other than to leave a table, you dont like, and join another. The two sites have an extremely similar setup for cash games, and judging from the inbuild HUD on GG Poker, 10NL full ring is at least 80-90% regulars with solid stats. Cant comment on rakeback since this is not allowed in Sweden.

Unless they want to become good at the game and dont need nonsense like an "action voice" belonging to Daniel Negreanu. I could also turn it around and say, that GG Poker is a good choise for children but not for adults ;)

Both sites have their bling bling shit, on Stars you can mostly disable it, that is the missing feature on the GG-Software(sounds can be diabled, I never heared DNegs, only saw him dancing.

All sites see their service as an entertaiment service for the "fun generation". So lets say for people that have too much money(not so much that they can go to the live casino/cardroom) that they can spent it for their leisure time.

Not all people are so grown up like you. See my avatar. ;)

All sites have gone down this route, but GG Poker have taken it to a whole different level. There is a rabbit hunting feature, and in all-in pots the river card is revealed slowly. Then there are the dancing emocons, which encourage you to express your feelings about the result of a hand, even some you were not involved in. All of which teaches people to focus on results and emotions rather than decisions and strategy.

In top of that all games except MTTs contain a lottery element. In cash games they take an extra rake and put it into a bad beat jackpot. And their only SnG (except Spins) is the Battle Royal, which has a mystery bounty element, where the mystery bounty is financed across games. Which mean, that just as in spins there is effectively an extra rake, where you pay for high multipliers, you will likely never see, even if you put in massive volume.

In short everything about GG Poker is set up to teach people, that poker is just another form of gambling, and not a skill based game. So if someone wants to become yet another gambler/losing player, then its a great site to learn poker, but otherwise there are many better options including PokerStars. They do have lower rake for regular speed MTTs up to $20 buyin though, so that is at least a positive.
